Otepää Apartments offers accommodation with all comforts in the heart of Otepää, facing the Otepää Town Hall on the Flag Square (Lipuväljak). There are eight guest apartments, seven of which have one room with two beds, and one apartment has two rooms with two beds, and the possibility to bring in two extra beds. Free parking in a parking lot next to the building. On the ground floor of the building, there is a hair salon and a pizza bar. It is also possible to rent a sauna with a fireplace room and a kitchen.

The holiday village has a private holiday house with a sauna and a separate area with washing and utility rooms where people can pitch up their tents. It is suitable for family holidays. There are spaces for tents and camping opportunities and summer and there is also a roofed picnic area.

At Mooska farm, pork is smoked in a traditional way in a smoke sauna.The meat is salted for seven days and smoked in the gentle alder smoke of the smoke sauna for about 40 hours. The result is mouth-watering, brown-surfaced, aromatic smoked meat that can become addictive. We have warned you! Also try talvõvõid - a bread spread made from smoked bacon and garlic. The Kekkonen hiking track can be used all year round – in summer for hiking, jogging and cycling and in winter for skiing. The track was named after former Finnish president Urho Kaleva Kekkonen, who visited Kääriku. The 15 km track starts from Kääriku stadium and passes through several spots of natural beauty, including Harimägi Hill – one of the highest points in the Otepää Highlands (211.3 m above sea level). Its viewing tower, which stands 26 metres high, is right next to the hiking track. Those with more energy can follow the additional 5 km loop on Harimägi Hill.

You will find this historicist red-brick church (architect Arved Eichorn), which is the first new church built in the Republic of Estonia, in the peaceful little town Elva. Tartu St John’s Congregation used to operate in Elva for some time. This is why some details of the Elva Church remind of Tartu St John’s Church – the rarely used plaster and brick imitation of a rose window on the western wall of the church refers to the medieval rose window that can be found in Tartu St John’s Church.

The hike will last up to three hours. We will ice skate along the channels that are covered with smooth ice. We will also skate over/around flooded meadows, stop at beaver dams and otter burrows, explore animal tracks on the snow, and admire Lake Peipus as well. In the middle of the hike, we will take a short break to drink tea and have a bite to eat. If it is allowed to go on Lake Peipus at the time of the hike, we will skate back along the shore of Lake Peipus. The hike is for adults!Participants will receive the hiking skates (attached to your boots), poles, and ice awls. NB! Bring your ID-card.

The monument to the legendary Estonian statesman and journalist Jaan Tõnisson was established in 1999. Its authors are Mati Karmin and Tiit Trummal. Jaan Tõnisson was a legendary statesman and journalist who was prime minister from 1919 to 1920, the head of state from 1927 to 1928 and in 1933, the owner of the Postimees newspaper from 1896 to 1930 and the editor-in-chief of the Postimees from 1896 to 1935. Tõnisson was made an honorary citizen of Tartu in 1939.
