Workshop “Baking home made bread”

In the Bread Room one can make their first attempts in baking homemade bread. The Wood Shop’s breadmaster will guide you through the process of the perfect bread dough, and show you all the good ingredients and the secret components to a well risen dough and delicious taste. In the end of the workshop the Bread Room is full of irritatingly good bread baking fragrance. And of course no one is leaving without tasting the outcome of this exciting workshop and you can also take the leaven to go, to keep up the new learned skill of breadmaking. And if later there’s a need for a bread basket, Avinurme Wood-Shop can offer exactly what you need.

Hotel Metsis Hunting Hall

Kuremaa Castle and Park

Kuremaa Manor is a special place where classical columns, grand façades, and harmonious proportions blend beautifully in its architecture. It is an excellent venue for conferences, client and team events, as well as weddings and celebrations. The neoclassical manor house was designed by E.J. Strauss and built between 1837 and 1843 by the von Oettingen family.The manor’s museum room introduces the history of the estate.The diverse manor park slopes gently down to Lake Kuremaa, enchanting visitors with its beach and leisure opportunities.Within walking distance are the Kuremaa Mill, Kuremaa Beach, Kuremaa Swimming Pool and Mini-Spa, and the Kuremaa Health Trails.

University of Tartu Art Museum

The University of Tartu Art Museum is located in the historical University Main Building and has Pompeian-style interior. The museum’s permanent exhibition consists of sculptures, mostly from the antiquity – original size plaster cast copies of the best works of Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic Greece. The Art Museum also displays many ancient originals: coins, vases, clay lamps, and cuneiform tablets. There is also the mysterious mummy chamber, where you can find a genuine Egyptian mummy. You can also visit the beautiful Assembly Hall of the university and the student lock-up in the attic.

Caravan park of Waide motel

The camping site has places for 50 caravans. The total area of our caravan site is 2500 m². Every vehicle has access to one power outlet. For our guests there is also a service house with showers, toilets, sinks, washing machine and a stove. We have fresh water supply and toilet emptying options. Reception is open from 8 a.m until 9 p.m. If needed, you may use our telephone and internet. The whole camping site has WiFi. We will organize dinner parties with cultural program if you book it in advance. On request we will take you on a trip to South-Estonia with a guide.

`Nohipalo Valgejärv` lake

As far as is known, Nohipalo Valgejärv is the most nutrient-poor and the most transparent lake in Estonia. The shores and bottom of this lake are almost completely covered in sand. This is a naturally beautiful spot adorned with a pine forest and berry fields.The beach has a changing booth and a privy, benches, a barbecue area and a shelter. You can leave your car in a tarmacked car park.

Rüüp wines and grapes

The production of Rüüp wine is located in the village of Ihamaru, Ala Juusa farm in Põlva. We make craft wines mainly from our grown berries and apples. We started growing wines in 2022. We kindly show our activities to visitors: let's talk about how vines grow in Estonia and how grapes become wine, tasting different drinks, introducing a production space that we affectionately call a sip kitchen among ourselves. We also offer accommodation in a holiday home with a sauna and hot tub.

Vudila bistro

Vudila bistro is located in Vudila Playland.We serve simple roasts, soups, and desserts. We also have different cold and hot drinks, pies, and buns. We have also focused on the needs of children: in the middle of the bistro, there is a play area for children with toys and drawing supplies, high chairs, and a room for changing diapers. We also sell baby food and formulas.Vudila Bistro is open when the Playland is open: from June to August and during the Christmas programme in December.You can eat at the bistro if you have a ticket to Vudila Playland.

Guided day trip to the Onion Route along Lake Peipsi

Spend an exciting day trip exploring the culture of the Onion Route, which will introduce you to the following: Baltic German culture at Alatskivi Castle Estonian peasant culture and the Kodavere parish at the Juhan Liiv Museum or the Kodavere Heritage Centre Russian Old Believer culture at the Peipsimaa Heritage Centre or the Kolkja Old Believer Museum Local onion farming at Kostja Onion Farm (with delicious onion pies and samovar tea) At each location, a local guide awaits the group to share many stories about local life. If desired, it is possible to arrange transport from a suitable starting point, accommodation, and catering. The price depends on the number of participants. Additionally, you can order transportation (to pick you up at a location that suits you best), accommodation, and catering.
