Vahe Guesthouse – a cozy stopover in Põltsamaa! You are welcome to our cozy guesthouse near the heart of Põltsamaa. It is an ideal place to rest, whether you are on holiday, on a business assignment, or seeking a peaceful retreat. The guesthouse is the perfect stopover for relaxing and recharging after a busy day. There are seven rooms available, each accommodating up to four people. If desired, you can use the kitchen to prepare your favorite meals. All necessary equipment is provided. The house has a separate gathering room for up to 18 people and a sauna with a large anteroom, which can be ordered separately. In summer, you are welcomed by a green garden, barbecue facilities, and a children's playground. Discover the charms of Põltsamaa: visit Põltsamaa Castle, relax in the beautiful riverside area, or enjoy the pleasant urban environment. The 4.5 km long trail around Lake Lossijärv with its varied terrain and beautiful views offers visitors plenty of excitement and sights at any time of year.The trail starts at Alatskivi or by the Bed of Kalevipoeg. Alatskivi Castle and Castle Park, Hirveaed Garden, Sheep Bridge, Bed of Kalevipoeg, Lake Veskijärv, and Lake Lossijärv are all along the trail. There are two large information boards on the trail, log stairs in the Bed of Kalevipoeg, two bridges, signs, and small information boards that introduce the objects found in the protected area.

At Tartu County Recreational Sports Center, a 14-target field archery course is open year-round, offering exciting activities for both beginners and experienced archers. Before heading to the course, you can learn the basics of archery and try out equipment at the practice range with instructor guidance. Afterwards, the archery course awaits, where you can engage in fun or completely serious competitions with friends or family. On-site, you can choose bows of different strengths for both adults and children. If desired, you can bring your own equipment or use the center's rental options, as outlined in the price list. The archery course is perfect for active leisure with a partner, a group of friends, or corporate team events. Tartu County Recreational Sports Center is located just a few minutes away from the town of Elva, in a picturesque pine forest, where hiking and skiing trails create an ideal environment for sports and enjoying nature in every season.

With Tartu's Smart Bike Share, you can rent regular or electric bikes from various parking areas throughout the city. The Tartu Smart Bike app makes renting bikes easy. Electric bikes are available until the temperature drops below zero. They must be returned to any bike parking area within five hours. The Memorial Square of Lydia Koidula and her father Johann Voldemar Jannsen was opened in the Ülejõe Park in Tartu on 3 August 2018.In 1863, their family moved to Tartu, where the father and daughter issued the Estonian newspaper Eesti Postimees, founded the theatre company Vanemuine, and in 1869, organised the first song festival in Estonia. Both were promoters of the Estonian national movement and cultivators of Estonian-language culture.

We are located in the middle of Võrumaa's forests in the Haanja-Karula recreation area at the intersection of RMK hiking trails. We welcome all nature lovers and families with children.Here, you can find forest bandstands, the legendary Paganamaa, and several sights of South Estonia: Suur Munamägi Hill, Karula National Park, the southern tip of Estonia, Rõuge Ööbikuorg Valley, Koiva-Mustjõe pines, and Luhasoo landscape protection area. Several RMK hiking trails pass through Pähni.You can also camp, go to the sauna, and make a campfire on the premises of Pähni guesthouse. You can order a guided tour from us (including in the Võru language). Interesting activities are offered by the nearby RMK Pähni Visitor Centre.
