Urban Space Bike Tours in Tartu

W. Struve tn 1, Tartu linn, Tartu maakond, 50091

Urban Space Bike Tours are a fresh way to discover Tartu!
This is not an ordinary excursion; it is a city experience through a dynamic urban environment:

We visit picturesque, thought-provoking places in the city where Tartu’s past, present, and future are intertwined.
We learn about upcoming urban development.
We see historical and modern architecture, enjoy urban nature, discover street art, and dive into the pleasant atmosphere of this student city.
We discuss good cities, the kind of cities where one would want to live.

The tour is private for groups of 2–12 people. Young people are welcome from the age of 14.
The distance and pace are moderate and adaptable to the group’s abilities. No need to wear sports clothes.
As a visitor, the best way to explore the city is to rent a Smart Bike electric bike from Tartu Smart Bike. But you can also come with your own bicycle or light vehicle.
The guide is Aljona Galazan, the creator of Urban Space Bike Tours, a landscape architect, lecturer, and cycling enthusiast.

Suur Seiklus canoe trips on Estonian rivers

A canoe trip is an excellent opportunity to discover Estonia's beautiful rivers and experience the importance of teamwork. A joint adventure on a body of water helps you get to know your companions better and develop cooperation skills. During the drier summer period, we paddle down larger rivers, where the water flows more calmly. During spring and autumn's high water seasons, there is an opportunity to discover less frequently visited waterways, such as the floods in Soomaa National Park. It is possible to order campfire meals or a bushcraft workshop to go along with your canoe trip. There is also the possibility of going on multi-day trips. Come and enjoy an adventure in nature — a canoe trip is an experience to remember!

The 19th-century Tartu Citizen’s Home Museum

The 19th-century Tartu Citizen's Home Museum is located in one of the most unique areas of Tartu's Old Town, close to St. John's Church. The museum is housed in a wooden building completed in the 1740s, making it one of the oldest surviving residential houses in Tartu. With its historical ambiance and meticulously restored interior, the building takes visitors back to the early 19th century, when Tartu was a vibrant city of wealthy citizens and craftsmen. At the museum, you can learn more about the daily lives of urban citizens in the 1830s. Various rooms, furnished in the German Biedermeier style typical of the era, can be seen. The cozy, authentic atmosphere offers an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of everyday life in a 19th-century Tartu home. During the summer season, a small garden is open, where plants and flowers of the period thrive, offering a glimpse of what urban greenery might have looked like almost two centuries ago. It is possible to participate in guided, thematic tours and educational programs.
