Enjoy the romantic play of light and dark and Taevaskoja's charm. We travel with lanterns and kicksleds along the trails of Taevaskoja. The trip is led by an experienced tour guide who tells exciting stories about nature, animals, and the region. The air is full of nighttime mystery. Before the trip, there is kicksledding instruction, so everyone can learn to gracefully and competently use the wonderful vehicle, the kicksled. The trip is intended for adults. We travel at a leisurely pace, taking breaks to chat and look for signs of animal activity. In the mystery of nighttime, we can take time to pay attention to ourselves, our companions, and the interesting things around us.

The ride takes place on the picturesque landscape of the protected area of the Ahja River valley. The route is kaleidoscopic with moderate downhill and uphill slopes, the rapids of the Ahja River, sandstone outcrops, caves, historical bridges and interesting cultural background. Join the long-distance sled dog team training in Tartu County and experience something that not everyone can! Your role is simple but important – you sit on a special terrain cart as extra weight and enjoy an adrenaline-filled ride with a professional racing team. Meanwhile, we will unveil the behind-the-scenes of the sled dog world – discussing training methods, competitions, and the unique aspects of the dogs' work. You will be guided by Estonia's first musher to participate in long-distance races, Heinrich Lukk, whose experience extends to the challenging tracks of Norway and Finland. During the training, you will see a racing team of eight Alaskan huskies in action and practicing simpler practical tasks. The training lasts 2 to 3 hours, takes place from September to November, and is suitable for only one participant at a time, which makes the experience personal and special. Put on rubber boots or hiking shoes, choose weatherproof clothing, and come to Tartu County for an adventure that will be remembered for a lifetime!

The hike will last up to three hours. We will ice skate along the channels that are covered with smooth ice. We will also skate over/around flooded meadows, stop at beaver dams and otter burrows, explore animal tracks on the snow, and admire Lake Peipus as well. In the middle of the hike, we will take a short break to drink tea and have a bite to eat. If it is allowed to go on Lake Peipus at the time of the hike, we will skate back along the shore of Lake Peipus. The hike is for adults!Participants will receive the hiking skates (attached to your boots), poles, and ice awls. NB! Bring your ID-card.

The tour guides will share exciting stories of nature and introduce other destinations in the vicinity which you can discover when hiking with us.The ice-skating hike on the bog-pools usually takes 2–4 hours. During this time, we will skate for up to 10 km on ice-covered plains, bog-pools, or lakes. You will set the pace of the hike. Everyone who can skate ski in the winter can also skate on bog-pools.Come and discover the biggest bog area of Valga County in the historical Mulgimaa and skate on frozen bog-pools and lakes!

The trip is suitable for groups of friends, families and schoolchildren. The slow waters of the winding river flow by large pine trees and ferns growing on the banks, steep sandstone outcrops covered in forest and caves.This area is the birthplace of many a folk legend – about underground castles, Devil's mills, virgins weaving fabric in deep caves, forest elves wondering about the river and water nymphs sitting on large rocks.Duration of the trip: 1.5-2 hoursWe have a raft for 7-8 persons and another for 9-10.Minimum size of the group: 6-7 peopleThe trip begins at Kiidjärve Nature Centre and ends at the dam of the Taevaskoda hydroelectric power station. After the trip, you can have a picnic by the river.

The Hilara is a riverboat with a dignified and active history, which was built in 1975 to offer pleasant experiences for people both in summer and in winter. The passenger ship that was originally sailing in Finland has been used on Lake Peipus and Emajõgi River during the past decades.The boat can accommodate up to 36 passengers, so there is plenty of space in the two passenger cabins and on the bow and sun deck so that everyone could feel truly comfortable.During the trip, you can enjoy the beautiful views on Tartu from the river and listen to the fun stories about life on the river and onboard told by captains Gaute Kivistik and Olaf Suuder.
