This question is answered by Mesi Tare's host, Marko, who takes guests on a walking tour through the historic village of Varnja. This is not a regular excursion but a personal, direct experience in which the village, its people, and their stories unfold through the eyes of a local resident. Marko has been connected to Peipsiveere all his life, and his stories are based on real experiences. He has worked as a border guard, been a fisherman and boat captain, and today he operates as a tourism entrepreneur. During the tour, Marko discusses the customs, architecture, and lifestyle of the Old Believers, as well as the importance of Lake Peipus for the local community. Walking tours are arranged by prior reservation and tailored to visitors' interests and schedules. In addition to Varnja village, you can explore Kolkja village and Kallaste town, each with its own character and story. If desired, the tour can be combined with a visit to the Varnja Samovar House.

We will take you on a memorable bike ride on the beautiful trails of Taevaskoda. During the hike, we will see the watermill of Kiidjärve, peek into the bunker of the Forest Brothers, get to know the River Ahja and its valley, admire the sandstone outcrops of Taevaskoda and the forest trails under primeval trees. If we are lucky, we will get to see and hear kingfishers. We will also try to find the filming locations of "Viimne Reliikvia" (The Last Relic). With our E-Bikes, we will traverse the trails with ease, and all the leftover energy can be used to enjoy the views.You can take part in scheduled hikes or book a private tour for your group at a time suitable for you.

A lighted boat trip on Koorküla's Lake Valgjärv takes you on an evening journey into an underwater world! Koorküla's Lake Valgjärv, with its clear water, mysterious atmosphere, and stunning natural beauty, is the perfect spot for a leisurely boat trip. The trip, starting at dusk, takes you on a boat across the lake, with light strips beneath the boat illuminating the lakebed and creating an enchanting atmosphere. During the trip, you can peek into the underwater world, with good visibility allowing you to see up to 2–3 meters deep. On the journey, you might encounter small and large fish, and, if you're lucky, crayfish and beavers. In the fall, you can see them gathering their winter supplies. The guide takes you to exciting observation spots – to the beaver nests on the opposite shore, over underwater wooden ruins, and into the reeds where fish spend the night. We divide the group into rafts to ensure the light play on the lake is as effective as possible and the experience is as uniform as possible. Humala Kalabaas is a home business offering services related to fishing and operating on the banks of the Emajõgi River. In addition to the fishing spot with an accommodation on the banks of the Emajõgi River and boat rental with the possibility of overnight stay, we offer the opportunity to rent a motorboat Amur with a driver, so that you can see with your own eyes the largest swamp of Emajõe Suursoo in all its glory. It is wild, beautiful, rich in species, isolated, and majestic. We will sail 25km to Praaga swamp village and, if the weather permits, also a little on Lake Peipsi. A hike about a kilometre long with a guide and lanterns on the territory of Kalevipoeg's Home. We will visit the local history exhibition in ancient buildings and the playground, pass through a pine forest and the adventure park. We will drink tea that has been boiled on a campfire.Suitable for groups of different ages - kindergarten children, school groups, groups of coworkers, families, friend groups, etc. Catering can also be arranged and rooms can be rented in the community centre or museum. The lantern tour can be a part of your visit or a special occasion for a visit.Addditionally, you can visit the Kalevipoeg Museum and go sledding, ice skating and tubing in winter when there's snow.
