The Monument to the Estonian Mother was inaugurated in Rõuge on 26 June 2010. The monument is meant to demonstrate appreciation for the Estonian woman as a mother, to express gratitute, and to value the survival of our people. Hans Sissas (1933 - 2012), who has recounted the stories of Estonian deportees and authored many memoirs, initiated the idea of a monument to the Estonian mother, and lead the efforts to have the monument completed.The monument is made from stone brought from Udmurtia, and is 3.6 high, weighing nearly 6 tonnes.The monument was designed by the artists/sculptors Ilme and Riho Kuld, and was made by the sculptors/stone masons Margus Kurvits and Kristjan Kittus.

The camping site has places for 50 caravans. The total area of our caravan site is 2500 m². Every vehicle has access to one power outlet. For our guests there is also a service house with showers, toilets, sinks, washing machine and a stove. We have fresh water supply and toilet emptying options. Reception is open from 8 a.m until 9 p.m. If needed, you may use our telephone and internet. The whole camping site has WiFi. We will organize dinner parties with cultural program if you book it in advance. On request we will take you on a trip to South-Estonia with a guide.

Laisholm Pub, which is located on Estakaadi Street in Elva, is perfect for relaxing, having a hearty meal, and sipping a cold drink.The spacious hall of the pub is suitable for bigger and smaller company events, anniversaries, and other celebratory events. The German-style beer restaurant has two balconies, a cosy atmosphere, and a lot of seating places. It is also possible to hold seminars and trainings at the pub.At the weekends, the best DJs and popular Estonian bands perform here. Inspiration and history go hand in hand here, and our parties are carefree and memorable.

At Tartu County Recreational Sports Center, a 14-target field archery course is open year-round, offering exciting activities for both beginners and experienced archers. Before heading to the course, you can learn the basics of archery and try out equipment at the practice range with instructor guidance. Afterwards, the archery course awaits, where you can engage in fun or completely serious competitions with friends or family. On-site, you can choose bows of different strengths for both adults and children. If desired, you can bring your own equipment or use the center's rental options, as outlined in the price list. The archery course is perfect for active leisure with a partner, a group of friends, or corporate team events. Tartu County Recreational Sports Center is located just a few minutes away from the town of Elva, in a picturesque pine forest, where hiking and skiing trails create an ideal environment for sports and enjoying nature in every season.

The monument to Oskar Luts was erected in 1987. The authors of the monument were A. Rimm and A. Murdmaa.Oskar Luts (1887–1953) was an Estonian writer. His best known and loved novel is Kevade (Spring), a lyrical and humorous tale based on school memories. He has also written plays, children’s stories, memoirs, and feuilletons. The writer's house museum is located at 38 Riia Street in Tartu. There, he lived for the last 17 years of his life. Oskar Luts was buried in the St Paul’s Cemetery in Tartu.

Lake Vaskna is 244 meters above sea level, which is why it can also be called a 'mountain lake'. According to legend, the gold of the Swedes from the times of the Northern War has been buried in Vaskna. It is said that a marked stone indicates the location of the gold.There is a campfire site next to the lake, offering a wonderful view of the local dome landscape. There is also a camping site and a swimming spot. Up to ten four-person tents can be put up at the camping site. There are benches, a table, a shelter, a cabin for changing clothes, and a barbeque spot.

The apartment has two bedrooms: one spacious room with a view of Town Hall Square and a wide double bed, and another room with a balcony and two beds that can be joined into one wide bed if needed. The apartment is equipped with all amenities. The balcony facing the courtyard is ideal for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing after a city tour. Free parking in the courtyard makes arrival especially convenient, a definite plus in the central area of Tartu. Step out the door, and you are in Old Town, where all the main museums, cafés, and restaurants are just a few steps away.
