The Onion Road has many layers of flavours. During the tour, we will discover the local culture through all of them. Participants will learn the secrets of Ivan Chai, eat the famous onion pies of Kostja, taste chicory cake and coffee, and drink local craft wines.In addition, we will make a bag with block printing, learn the story of the Old Believers and the Baltic German landlords, and find out how the locals grow onions.It is possible to order the tour with (additional 150 euros) or without a guide.We will choose the dishes and places in accordance with your wishes and the season.

The longest river in Estonia, the Võhandu River, is calm when it reaches Räpina, and therefore it was probably the most suitable place for building a unique mill complex comprising three mills.The flour mill is a massive stone building with a large winch on the top floor for lifting bags. The original doors and many other details integral to the overall design have been preserved. The flour mill was built at the end of the 18th century.

Many birds and animals await you at "Talu ja loomad" (Farm and Animals) hobby farm, located in Kulli village in Tartu County! At the farm you can see various birds: chickens, the world's smallest seramas, ducks, turkeys, and geese. Additionally, the farm has goats, sheep, rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, and a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. You can meet about 300 animals and birds at the farm. The patron saint of the Värska Orthodox Church is St. George. The most important church holiday is St. George's Day, which is celebrated in Setomaa on May 6 and culminates with the afternoon kirmaski, or village party. The church was built with money from the community, and the original iconostasis from the beginning of the 20th century has been preserved, part of which is an icon of St. George painted on a tree in the 17th century. The church also has several handmade holy shawls. Värska cemetery is next to the church, and several important Seto cultural figures are buried there.
