At the Turgi Handicraft Farm you can see how weaving on looms is done and you can also see a collection of textiles which includes hand-woven carpets, blankets, and other home textiles. During the summer season, the drying barn restaurant of Turgi Farm is open within the framework of the Summer Gourmet of Onion Route programme. You can order a healthy four-course dinner by pre-registering, and stay at the granary accommodation.The hostess Veinika Västik also offers an active three-day holiday in weaving courses, as well as individual studies. Anderson Brewery in Tartu offers an excellent opportunity to participate in a barbecue and beer workshop, where you can enjoy grilled meat and taste Estonian craft beers! The workshop will teach you the basics of grilling, such as choosing meat, grilling beef and duck breast fillets, and making chimichurri herb sauce. During the brewery tour, we will taste eight different beers, learn about the history of beer, get acquainted with the brewing process, and explore the factory shop and the backstage of the brewery. Gustav II Adolf (1594–1632) was the King of Sweden and the creator of the Swedish Empire, who ascended the throne at the age of 16.Gustav II Adolf died in the Thirty Years' War at the Battle of Lützen. In 1632, shortly before the battle, he signed the founding document of the University of Tartu, thus being the founder of the University of Tartu.Otto Strandman was the author of the statue of Gustav II Adolf, which stood behind the main building of the University of Tartu on the King's Square from 1928 to 1950. The statue was removed by the Soviet occupation authorities on 15 May.In 1992, King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden and Queen Silvia reopened a new monument by Elisabeth Tebelius-Myren.

We are a small family business in Võru County, between the hills of Haanja and near the beautiful Lake Alajärv. Our organic farm grows sea-buckthorn and grapes on Servamägi Hill (222 meters high). We make berry and fruit wines from our own and other local raw ingredients. We offer a year-round educational ‘wine tour’, during which we will explore the secrets of wine-making and then, taste three wines with snacks. During the summer season from May to October, we will go on a tour on the berry field. We will also hold a fun quiz on wines. There is a farm shop.
