The Pesapuu watchtower is 30 meters high (the top observation platform is 27 meters from the ground) and it resembles a tree with two bird nests. The architect Karmo Tõra was the original author of the idea.The watchtower is eye-catching during both the day and the night. In the evening, lights of different colours are turned on to shed light on the so-called bird nests or observation platforms and the so-called golden egg on the top of the tower.Tourists that reach the top are offered picturesque views of the Nightingale Valley and the rest of Võru County. Pesapuu is opened around the clock.
Imagine eating your favourite dish without seeing it on the plate. How will it taste like? Come and experience our blind dining to find out. The purpose of blind dining is to emphasise and activate the senses that are usually in the background. The dinner consists of seven or five courses prepared by our head chef and is complemented with delicious wines. The participants will have to guess what they are eating, guided solely by the taste and their intuition. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. The dinner starts with refreshments and sparkling wine. The minimum size of the group is eight people. The dinner lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Wine trainings are ideal for celebrating important events or just having fun with your friends.The basic wine training course and tasting introduces five wines, two of which are white and three are red. Our wine sommelier introduces the main grape varieties (sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, merlot, shiraz, and cabernet sauvignon), talks about the history of wine, and how to pair wine with food. Snacks are also offered. After the training, you can enjoy our à la carte menu, which offers dishes for both meat lovers and vegetarians, as well as a variety of snacks and salads. The authors of the monument are J Raudsepp, A Mölder, P Tarvas, A Volberg.Nikolai Pirogov was the founder of experimental surgery, topographic anatomy and field surgery. His work made the surgeries performed in Tartu famous all over Russia and also abroad.
