The hiking trail, winding through the diverse landscape, is peppered with many picturesque sights including the Small and Big Taevaskoda, the Ahja River, Otten Stone Bridge, shooting locations of the hit movie "Viimne reliikvia" (The Last Relic), accompanied by bird songs and whispers of the forest. When exploring the nature on a scooter, you will forget your everyday problems and experience the full beauty and tranquility of nature.This hike, led by a guide, lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This 1.2 km long health track starts from Kunimäe plateau by the main building at Tehvandi Sports Centre, where there is a gymnastics set with three different attractions, and then winds its way around Kunimäe Hill. There are seven exercise sets along the track designed to develop different muscle groups and balance. The track is marked by green tape.

The diversity of sports facilities and beautiful nature bring active people to Kääriku throughout the year.Kääriku Sports Centre was established in 1947 as a study and training centre of the Department of Physical Education and Sport of the University of Tartu. Today, the modern sports centre has a ball hall, tennis and beach volleyball courts, athletics and football stadium, and ski and hiking trails. There is an outdoor swimming pool, the Kekkonen sauna and Green sauna, a sandy beach, and a children's playground by Lake Kääriku. We also offer accommodation, catering, and conference rooms all year round.
We organize fatbike hikes in Taevaskoda year-round. From spring to autumn, we ride along forest trails on the banks of the ancient valley of the Ahja River. In winter, we also stop by the ice of Lake Taevaskoda. The most famous places on the route are Suur- and Väike Taevaskoda, Neitsikoobas Cave, and the Kiidjärve water mill and manor park. The tour runs most of the time along beautiful forest trails in the varied landscape of South Estonia. The tour is suitable for anyone who is at least 150 cm tall. The pace is calm, and we take breaks to catch our breath and chat every 15-20 minutes. We talk about nature and local attractions. Taevaskoda has a rich history and cultural heritage; it contains sacred places and springs important to ancient Estonians. This area is known for its sandstone outcrops and magical forest trails. We use regular fatbikes and electric fatbikes (e-fatbikes) for riding. You can find clothing recommendations and information about the equipment you need for the tour on our website. Tehvandi Cycling Track starts from the shooting range end of the stadium and runs along the Tartu Cycling Marathon Track to Ansomäe, then past Kasemets, Kuusemets and Savimägi to Tehvandi Hill and back to the start through Tehvandi Marsh, Lättemägi and the fort. The 5.7 km track offers a good view of the new K90 ski jumping hill in Tehvandi. Most of the track is covered with soil and some parts run though marshes, which makes them rather difficult to tackle. The track is marked with yellow plastic ribbons.
