Barclay de Tolly mausoleum is one of the 21 places in Southern Estonia worth discovering which are marked by a yellow National Geographic window; if you love culture and nature, a visit is highly recommended.Field Marshal de Tolly, whose final resting place is in Estonia, is one of the most famous people related to Estonia and probably the greatest Russian military leader. The Russian commander who came from a Baltic aristocratic family with Scottish roots played an important part in the Napoleonic wars between 1812 and 1814.Barclay de Tolly’s name has been related to Jõgeveste since 1791 when he married Helene Auguste Eleanore von Smitten and became the owner of the Jõgeveste manor.

Side Summer Cottage is just a short drive from Võru. It is situated in Ränioru and is the perfect place to come for some peace and quiet. The two-storey cottage is surrounded by forest, lakes and a small clearing.You and your fellow travellers can make the most of our sauna, enjoying the sounds of nature on the terrace. You can also barbecue and smoke meat. For outdoor games you can use our beach volleyball court. The cottage itself has everything you'll need to enjoy your break away even if the weather is less than favourable. We have SAT-TV, a DVD player, music and karaoke centres, electronic darts and more.

Kuutsemäe Holiday Resort

Kuutsemäe Resort is 14 km from the centre of Otepää. It is the perfect place for a relaxing break or an active holiday, all year round. There is a guesthouse as well as cabins for visitor accommodation. We organise company events for groups of up to 1000. In summer we offer relaxiation for disc golf, mountin bikeing and hiking enthusiast. There are also SUP board rental and variuos hiking trails allow you to try yourself (no matter of the age) on foot or on wheels. In winter you can go here downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Lake Viti hiking trail and observation tower

The Lake Viti hiking trail is a nature trail that passes through an exciting hilly forest landscape. The trail information boards provide information about the Vitipalu forests, the woodpeckers that inhabit them, their nesting sites, the ant kingdom, and more. The trail features a hiking hut, a campfire site, Viti Lake, a 20-meter-high wooden observation tower overlooking the surrounding greenery, and a pleasant picnic spot with shelters. The Lake Viti trail is suitable for hikers of all ages, but it is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. The Lake Viti hiking trail begins and ends at the trail parking lot. The trail is marked with yellow stripes.

Aura Centre

The Aura Centre offers the best athletic entertainment for visitors of any age. Our pool, water park, and sauna centre are perfect for the entire family to enjoy themselves, relax, and exercise. The centre-pieces of the water park are the 55- and 38-metre slides. The sauna centre offers relaxation in a pleasant environment. We have nine different saunas, as well as a hot tub, and a 40 °C Japanese bath. There is also a winter room where you can refresh yourself and a hot tub on the outdoor terrace.The water centre provides various activities and is the best place for any event. Aura Centre is waiting for you to come and enjoy yourself! The Aura Centre will be closed throughout July.

Hiking trails of the Paganamaa Landscape Reserve

there are three different hiking trails with a length of 3.8 km, 4.3 km and 4.7 km in the Paganamaa , just off the Latvian border in plus, there's a gazebo in . All trails begin at the Paganamaa bonfire site, where a beautiful view of Paganamaa nature can be enjoyed from the tower. on the trails, you'll see a mixed forest with a primeval forest appearance and an old Kazik, with Kikkajärv and greater Mudajärv on the road. at the beginning of the hiking trails, there's also a resting place, which is a good place for bonfire making, camping, camping.

Tartu Kolgata Baptist Church

After the Second World War, the Baptist congregations in Tartu joined the only remaining Baptist church: the Kolgata congregation, whose chapel was opened in 1931.In 2013, the congregation moved from the old prayer house located in Karlova district to a modern church building (completed in 1995) at the edge of the centre of the city due to lack of space. The first service in the building on Veski Street took place on 10 November 2013, when the Kolgata congregation celebrated its 112th anniversary.The congregation belongs to the Union of Evangelical Christian and Baptist Churches of Estonia. Services in Estonian are held on Sundays at 11 a.m. and in Russian at 1 p.m.
