Valga Central Square

The central square of Valga is located in the heart of the city and connects the two sides of the city, Valga and Valka, into one whole. The central square offers the residents many opportunities for leisure, such as street basketball and table tennis. The unique benches and a colourful playground for children have become especially popular.Next to the central square are the Lutheran St. John's Church (1816) and the oldest building in Valga, a former administrative building of the county authorities.The central square was opened in 2018 with the help of the architects Gianfranco Franchi, Chiara Tesi, and Rea Sepping. Blind dining at Vilde & Vine restaurant in Tartu

The purpose of blind dining is to emphasise and activate the senses that are usually in the background. The dinner consists of seven or five courses prepared by our head chef and is complemented with delicious wines. The participants will have to guess what they are eating, guided solely by the taste and their intuition. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. The dinner starts with refreshments and sparkling wine. The minimum size of the group is eight people. The dinner lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours.

Kodavere Heritage Center

The Kodavere Heritage Center in Tartu County breathes new life into the historical Pala Town Hall, which has been the heart of the local community for years. The center showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Peipsi region and is a place where old stories, languages, and traditions are revitalized. Visitors can gain a comprehensive overview of the history of Kodavere parish municipalities and town halls, and view the intriguing photo exhibition "People of Kodavere Parish in Oskar Tõrva's Glass Negatives," which reveals the everyday and festive life of rural areas a century ago. Additionally, they can admire the handicraft exhibition "Kodavere Kupuliud," highlighting the skills of local craftsmen and folk aesthetics.
