Tavern ‘Lühikeste meeste kõrts’ can accommodate about 50 women and men, but mind your head when you enter the room. Our meals are homemade and popular across the village. Tomato, cucumber, and other vegetables are local, as are eggs and fish. Drinks are not local, but they are still excellent. The tavern is suitable for various events. Upon pre-booking, we also offer group catering, where several dishes are traditional. You can also order catering and an evening host from us.

‘Tartu City Manors’ Guided cycling tour

Did you know that historically, there were nine manor houses in Tartu? The city of Tartu has expanded in all directions to the areas of former manors, and several districts have been named after these manors. Seven of them still exist and are waiting for you to visit.As part of the guided tour 'Tartu City Manors', we will visit five manors: Tähtvere, Maarjamõisa, Tamme, Ropka, and Karlova. EELC Roosa Jacob’s Church

The legend speaks about the owner of Roosa manor, who had promised to build a church if he is saved from a shipwreck. When he had happily escaped the sea, he fulfilled his promise and the first church was built in Roosa in 1735.The current church is the third one in Roosa, built in 1893.The massive quarrystone walls have round-headed windows and brick ornaments, the tower has four sides and triangular gables. The altar-piece is a copy of the ″Christ on the Cross” from the St. Mary's Church in Rõuge and the organ is the first church organ the Kriisa brothers built in 1900.

Vastseliina Castle Tavern

Vastseliina Castle is a place worth discovering in South Estonia — with 14th-century castle ruins, a sacred site, interactive activities, and interesting history. Vastseliina Castle Tavern is located in the former stable room of the historic Piiri Tavern, and the castle kitchen prepares medieval dishes inspired by historical recipes and festive table customs. The tavern is open daily during the summer months. In the autumn-winter season, guests can enjoy a rich medieval-inspired feast or more modest festive dishes by pre-order. All offered meals are prepared on-site in the castle kitchen, and the kitchen staff prefers to use as much local seasonal produce as possible. The tavern can also set up a welcome and coffee table if needed. Feasts are welcome for groups consisting of at least 20 and no more than 60 guests. In addition to the feast, you can order a castle tour or a suitable workshop. The castle staff requests that you inform them of your intention to visit at least five working days in advance.

Rivaal Cafe

Rivaal Cafe is in the centre of Põltsamaa, on the shores of the river and with views to Roosisaar Island. It has its own fireplace, as well as a private room catering for groups of up to 40 people.

Tartu Snow Park

Tartu Snow Park offers a total of eight hectares of sled and tube tracks – a true snow paradise. There are seven snow tube tracks at the Tartu Snow Park, all of which have different speeds and lengths and therefore, they are suitable for toddlers, teenagers, and adults. Come and spend some lovely time with family, friends, or by yourself. We also have a sledding slope where you can ride your sledge for free. Do not waste your day indoors. Instead, come and enjoy the winter with us!

Tartu Festival Arena

Tartu Festival Arena is a concert venue for up to 15,000 people. It was opened with the 125th Song Festival in 1994. Every year, up to 20 big concerts take place here: for example, Depeche Mode, Manhattan Transfer, and José Carreras have performed here.An activity centre has been developed around the Festival Arena, with a children’s park, a skatepark, a sports park with health trails and disc-golf courses by the river. You can rent sports equipment from the park. The halls in the Festival Arena can be rented for birthdays, seminars, or dance training. A free skating rink is open in winter. Concerts are usually with tickets and entrance is for a fee.
