Mooska Adventure Trips offer a great opportunity to learn about Võru County's smoke sauna traditions and heritages. From smoking meat in the sauna during winter-time, to the smoking hole lined with stones method used in the summer. A hiking trip to Vällamägi in also available. According to the folk belief, Vällamägi is an especially sacred site and it fumes because it has an underground connection with the Baltic Sea. This expedition will help you explore the nature-based way of life led by Southern Estonians; while letting you take part in trips to breath-in fresh air, play orienteering games; or give you the chance to simply enjoy a Nordic walking or snowshoeing trip.Mooska Adventure Trips are best suited for groups of up to 12 people, though larger groups are encouraged to inquire! Each group is introduced to a suitable trail by a company representative, who will also provide additional information on the difficulty and duration of the trip.
The Taevaskoda (Heaven’s Halls) hiking trails offer experiences at every step, regardless of the season and weather. During the hike, we might see a kingfisher while the guide tells legends about the outcrops of Taevaskoda and helps participants recognise the places where the movie Viimne reliikvia was filmed. We will also discuss the relationship between nature and humans over the years. We will agree on the length and theme of the hike with the participants. During the summer season, beautiful Pühajärve Beach awaits you in Otepää with its clean sand, swimming pier, and full-sized outdoor swimming pool. In the summer, the beach has lifeguards, several catering companies, SUP board rentals, and boat rentals offering row boats, canoes, and pedal boats. A special pier and changing room have been built for visitors in wheelchairs. During the winter, a winter swimming pool is open on the beach. Pühajärve Park, which surrounds the beach, invites both young and old to walk along its shady paths. Come to Pühajärve and enjoy a day at the beach!
Anne Canal is located in the city of Tartu, where you can enjoy summer beach fun. The beach has a golden sandy beach that awaits sunbathers and sandcastle builders. There is also a playground with swings, climbing ladders, and a slide. There are fitness trails, an outdoor gym, and a volleyball court along the Canal. There are changing cabins and toilets on the beach. During the swimming season, the beach café Lennuk is open, where you can buy refreshing drinks and street food. In winter, you can go winter swimming in Anne Canal and go ice skating with your own skates. Good to know: During the summer months, the beach is patrolled by lifeguards.
Canoeing is for everyone - from beginners to seasoned pros! The river has something to offer people at all levels. Our goal is to ensure you enjoy yourself - not test your speed and agility on the water. You decide the course you take, how quickly you cover it, whether you do it alone or as part of a group and whether you do it to take in the scenery or for more athletic purporses.The full route covers 10 km and takes 3-4 hours to traverse. The part of the river where we take to the water is ideal for first-timers - it is slightly wider and the current more gentle.Bring with you a raincoat, mobile phone, food and drink and appropriate clothing (i.e. that will dry quickly and that you won't worry about getting dirty). Trainers or similar sports shoes are better than rubber boots.
Anyone interested in horseback riding can try it out in Tamme Tall.We give private lessons and there are three ponies for children waiting in the stable.You can even test your skills by jumping over some obstacles.We organise riding camps for both young and old. You can even spend the night at the Tamme Tall Holiday House. It is possible to swim with horses by Lake Võrtsjärv, ride in the woods, grill, and go to the sauna. You can also book us for events or birthdays.
A boat tour of the western shore of Lämmijärve and around the island of Piirissaar on Lake Peipsi will leave you with an unforgettable experience. Your skipper will share his considerable knowledge of nature and fishing. In addition, we will stop for a swim or take a look around the shore. Take along your fishing rod to fish at the best spots on the lake.The tour lasts from an hour to a day.
