Mooska Adventure Trips

We will observe beavers on the Emajõgi River. The canoe trip is for small groups and includes an experienced guide who instructs on both the canoeing and beaver-watching.There are a lot of brave beavers on the Emajõgi River. If you act correctly, you can see them from very close up.The trip does not require any special ability or canoeing experience, which means it is also suitable for beginners. We have stable wide-bottomed hiking canoes that are very safe. Besides, the Emajõgi River is a calm river with no waterfalls or other obstacles in the way.

Otepää's excellent snow conditions and varied landscape with narrow forest trails and prepared sleigh roads are perfect for kick sledging. Ice conditions permitting, an entirely unique experience is provided by a kick sledge hike across the lake ice.Many participants haven't used a kick sledge since their childhood. Some try it for the first time; however, anyone can master it!The guides add fun to the gathering breaks with games and exciting tales about nature.During the 2–4 hour hike, we will cover about 7 km of winter roads.The size of the group starts from 10 people.This is an EHE product (ecotourism quality mark Genuine and Interesting Estonia).

During the four-hour hike, we will walk a few long and a couple of short kilometres in Laukasoo mire. We will visit Pähklisaar, which is a military heritage and a primeval nature site. Pähklisaar is a swamp island in Laukasoo, surrounded by picturesque swamp lakes, additionally, a century-old aspen grows there. It is said that a Swedish king's gold and silver treasure is buried on Pähklisaare and has not yet been found, which adds to the excitement. Pähklisaar, as many other swamp islands, was used by the Forest Brothers as a location for their bunker. We will also take a look at a milled peat production area.Everyone that can walk in snow, can also walk with bogshoes in a swamp.

The nature trail connecting two cities runs along the banks of the Pedeli River. The asphalt trail is 5 km long. If you find yourself on a boardwalk in the middle of the path, you have already crossed the border. Take the time to climb the stairs to Pudrumägi hill, which offers a wonderful view of the twin cities! There is no rush here – there are children's playgrounds, outdoor gyms, a beach, a recreation area on the peninsula, and even dog parks by the trail. The tracks are perfect for walking, cycling, rollerblading, and skiing. Come and enjoy this beautiful city!

During the kayaking trip we will be introducing to you Lake Pühajärv and its islands, enjoy the beautiful lake views and Estonian summer.The picnic place will be RMK Kooliranna campfire site.For the kayaking trips, we use stable, comfortable, safe and easily steered two-person kayaks. The price of the trip includes a place in the kayak with equipment, guiding service, substantial trip peal (soup, pastry, tea or juice, sweet pastry or fruit) and bottled water to quench your thirst.Come and enjoy the nature with your friends or colleagues!

The wetlands, bogs, and forests of the Peipsiveere Nature Reserve are rich in berries and mushrooms, and picking them has always been a summer tradition for Estonians. Led by an experienced guide with a forager's soul, we will hike to places where you can find Estonian nature's top delicacies, like blueberries and cranberries. We will learn how to find these berry and mushroom spots, what to pick, what to leave in the forest, and how to preserve berries and mushrooms for the winter. The trips take place from mid-July to mid-October. At the end of the trip, we will prepare a delicious dish from the natural products we have picked over a campfire in the forest. A kicksledding trip through Taevaskoja in South Estonia will take you to a true winter wonderland! The trip runs along the ancient valley of the Ahja River, past the Taevaskoja sandstone outcrops, through enchanting snowy forests, and past the beautiful, crisp Ahja River. The tour guide will tell exciting stories about nature and Taevaskoda and offer hot tea to warm you up. Parents and children are also welcome on the trip; the littlest ones can ride on the seats in front of the sleds. The trip is suitable for solo adventurers, families, and larger groups. The barge Jõmmu is a traditional wooden merchant sailing ship, the only one of its kind to have been restored. Step aboard and sail on a historic ship and enjoy the beauty of Emajõe-Peipsi's nature and views of the city of Tartu! Barge trips can be booked for larger groups for seminars, birthdays, or other special events. Smaller groups are welcome on scheduled trips. Coffee and tea are served on the ship, and it is possible to order catering, guide service, a bagpiper, workshops, and an overnight stay on the barge. Set sail on the historic Jõmmu!
