Kuremaa skiing tracks

In summer you can hike on the Kääriku recreational trails and in winter you can ski along the hills and valleys of the Otepää Upland. All the skiing, running, cycling and hiking trails are signposted, so you will always find your way safely back to the starting point. There are three hiking trails - the Running Track (5 km), the Lakeside Circuit (2.3 km) and the Seinamägi Hill Circuit (4.6 km). The latter is of particular interest to extreme sports enthusiasts. The Kekkonen hiking trail is perfect for cycling, and you can also cycle along the quiet bicycle and pedestrian track between Kääriku and Lake Pühajärv. You can hire cross country and downhill skis and snowboards from Veetee Ski Rental. We also offer now kicksledges! All equipment is well maintained and if needed we also offer maintenance of your skiing equipment. In summer season Veetee organizes canoe and rafting trips in South-Estonia.You will find us in the centre of Otepää, not far from Otepää Tourist Information Centre.

Artificial snow is produced, so winter fun can last until spring. In summer, you can hike the longer (9.6 km) or shorter (2.8 km) Kütiorg trail, enjoy the lake with a SUP board or water bike, and play volleyball or badminton. It’s also a great place to organise summer days, corporate events, birthdays and other celebrations. The main building houses a café and equipment rental. We also offer accommodation and relaxing sauna experiences. In Kütiorg, sporting challenges meet natural wonders – an ideal place for families, friends and groups. Lähte ski trails are located in Lähte small town, 15 km from Tartu.Ski trails are accessible 24 h for free. Lähte has four ski trails in varying lengths: 5 km, 2.5 km, 2 km and 1 km. During the winter, the ski trails are lit until 9 pm. You can also use a 1.25 km trail with artificial snow. Next to the trails, you find a watch tower. Showers are available in Lähte sports hall nearby.

The nature trail connecting two cities runs along the banks of the Pedeli River. The asphalt trail is 5 km long. If you find yourself on a boardwalk in the middle of the path, you have already crossed the border. Take the time to climb the stairs to Pudrumägi hill, which offers a wonderful view of the twin cities! There is no rush here – there are children's playgrounds, outdoor gyms, a beach, a recreation area on the peninsula, and even dog parks by the trail. The tracks are perfect for walking, cycling, rollerblading, and skiing. Come and enjoy this beautiful city!

Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre – a winter adventure in Elva's pine forests. Located amidst the beautiful pine forests of Elva, Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre offers numerous opportunities for year-round active recreation. The center is home to the largest and most famous health trail, including the world-renowned Tartu Marathon ski trail, inviting sports and nature enthusiasts to enjoy active leisure time. During winter, visitors can enjoy well-maintained ski trails that start at the Tartu Marathon finish line. The total length of the ski trails on the Tartu Marathon route extends up to 63 km, with 800 meters of illuminated trails, allowing skiing even late in the evening. The ski trails are suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. All necessary ski equipment, including rental and maintenance, is easily available at the Elva Ski Lab, located just a short drive away. Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre is an ideal place for an active winter holiday, offering sporting challenges, beautiful nature, and memorable winter experiences for every visitor.

Mooska Adventure Trips offer a great opportunity to learn about Võru County's smoke sauna traditions and heritages. From smoking meat in the sauna during winter-time, to the smoking hole lined with stones method used in the summer. A hiking trip to Vällamägi in also available.
