Koseveski Holiday Centre is surrounded by breathtaking scenery of Lake Kose in Saare Rural Municipality, Jõgeva County. The holiday centre is perfect for birthdays, weddings, summer retreats, seminars and other events. The centre has beds for 31. You can rent the entire centre or just the sauna and its lounge – whatever fits your needs. You can have fun relaxing or enjoy the outdoors in more active ways – canoeing on the river, cycling, fishing, etc.

The monument to Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald (1803-1882), founder of the Estonian national literature, was built in 1952. The authors of the monument were sculptors Johannes Hirv and Martin Saks, and architects Heiki Karro, Ants Mellik, and Mart Port.

The Tamme-Lauri oak is Estonia's largest oak tree. It has a circumference of 8 m (measured at a height of 130 cm) and is approximately 800 years old. The trunk has been filled with reinforced concrete. The Tamme-Lauri oak was named after Laurits, the god of fire, who was said to live in the oak and bring misfortune, but also sometimes good to the surrounding farms. The farm located near the oak is also known as Tamme-Lauri. The Tamme-Lauri oak was featured on the back of the Estonian ten kroon banknote. Signs leading to the site of the oak tree are found along the Urvaste-Kanepi highway.

Karl Ernst von Baer was a biologist, the founder of descriptive and comparative embryology and an academician of the St Petersburg Academy of Sciences. He studied medicine in Tartu from 1810 to 1811 and obtained the degree of doctor of medicine here. He was a professor of zoology and anatomy in Königsberg from 1817. He studied anthropology, geography and ichthyology during his time in St Petersburg. He spent the last years of his life (1867-1876) in Tartu where he wrote his 3-volume collection of articles and speeches and participated in the activities of the Estonian Naturalists Society and was elected its president in 1869.The statue of Karl Ernst von Baer was completed in 1886, its author is M. Opeku.

In the Bread Room one can make their first attempts in baking homemade bread. The Wood Shop’s breadmaster will guide you through the process of the perfect bread dough, and show you all the good ingredients and the secret components to a well risen dough and delicious taste. In the end of the workshop the Bread Room is full of irritatingly good bread baking fragrance. And of course no one is leaving without tasting the outcome of this exciting workshop and you can also take the leaven to go, to keep up the new learned skill of breadmaking.
