Otepää is known as the winter capital and the mecca of winter sports. From here, it's easy to go have fun at both Munakas, the Väike-Munamäe ski center, and Kuutsemäe. At ReeDe Villa ski rental located in the center of Otepää, you can rent the necessary equipment for a day or even a week. 12th Century Ruins of the Otepää Bishop’s Castle

Here You can see the ruins of the first known brick building in Estonia on top of the Otepää Hill Fort. Herman I, who became the Bishop of Tartu in autumn 1224, established the first stronghold of its diocese here. A settlement, which was mainly populated by craftsmen and merchants, appeared around the bishop’s castle in the 13th century.Interesting facts: * the oldest traces of a settlement on the Fort date back to approximately the change of the system of chronology; in the 11th century, Otepää was the most important stronghold of the ancient Ugandi County; * a metal map of the Estonian strongholds was installed on the Fort Hill in 1937.

Beaver observation trip in canoes

We will observe beavers on the Emajõgi River. The canoe trip is for small groups and includes an experienced guide who instructs on both the canoeing and beaver-watching.There are a lot of brave beavers on the Emajõgi River. If you act correctly, you can see them from very close up.The trip does not require any special ability or canoeing experience, which means it is also suitable for beginners. We have stable wide-bottomed hiking canoes that are very safe. Besides, the Emajõgi River is a calm river with no waterfalls or other obstacles in the way.

Emajõe river shore path

The 4-km Emajõe river shore path starts from the Turu bridge between River Emajõgi and Anne channel, and it runs on the Natura 2000 protection area and offers spacious views of the Anne channel, River Emajõgi, ship and boat traffic, and Karlova harbour.The hiking trail features information boards, riverside picnic areas, and several bridges, you can also meet hobby fishermen there. During spring, the path may be flooded and provides an opportunity to enjoy the views of the flooded meadow. When the trail ends, you can walk the same way back. Another option is to turn left to the gravel road, which leads to the Ihaste cycling and walking road.

Kuremaa Swimming Pool Guesthouse

The Kuremaa Swimming Pool Guesthouse is located in the lovely village of Kuremaa, next to with the neighbouring Kuremaa Manor and Park, the Kuremaa Swimming Pool and Kuremaa Beach. The guesthouse is popular with large tourist groups and athletes in sports camps, as the guesthouse is geared especially towards their needs.

Bumblebee Forest House

Kimalase Metsamajas is fresh forest air, birdsong, and seclusion from the big world on the edge of Estonia. The cottage and sauna are located by the largest lake in Haanjamaa - Lake Hino - in a grove. The cozy log cabin in the Misso area offers a private retreat for a family or a smaller group. On-site amenities include a kitchenette, fireplace, terrace, and barbecue facilities. The sauna is available for an additional fee, and after a steam, you can head straight into the water from the lakeside. At Lake Hino, you can go boating, fishing, or enjoy a summer swim. The cottage is especially valued for its peace and quiet – there are no neighbors, city noise, or traffic to disturb you here.
