Holiday House of the Kalda Tourist Farm

Kalda farm is located by the Väike Emajõgi river, 20 km away from Valga. If you wish to spend your holiday independently in your own house, we have a fully furnished holiday house ready for you. While it is meant for families with children, it is suitable for smaller groups as well. You are able to use all the amenities: air conditioned bedrooms, a mini kitchen, a spacious leisure room, an individual sauna, a roofed veranda, internet connection, TV, etc. There are a number of sights nearby. To spend your free time, you can choose between bonfire and barbecue night, canoe trips, still hunting in nearby forests, and pubs for those who love song and drink.

Oskar Luts Home Museum

It is important to us that craftspeople are recognized, valued, and respected. Over the years, more than 150 craft enthusiasts have joined the craft store "Magasiait." The store features products created with care by locals as well as creations by master craftspeople from all over Estonia.At Magasiait, you can purchase: lovely rugs, stylish ceramics, knitwear for the body, toes, and fingers, and a woman's best friend – jewelry. You can also find famous Estonian lace shawls, made by the skilled knitters of Haapsalu. One of the store's great prides is the selection of woven baskets, which extends from the floor almost to the ceiling in the large hall.The busy bees of Magasiait wish to make customers happy by offering a selection of gourmet items from home kitchens — "Magasiaida Talusahver." The menu includes special sauces and jams, including Sibulkad — uniquely flavored onion jams, herbal teas, and flavored salts. The highlight is locally grown lavender. Bogshoe hike in Meenikunno Bog

Meenikunno Bog is one of the most beautiful bogs in South Estonia. It has a diverse fauna and birdlife, picturesque open lakes and numerous bog islands! Guided bogshoe hikes offer a wealth of new and exciting knowledge about the formation of bogs, their unique nature, flora, and fauna. The hike includes the service of a guide, snowshoes, walking sticks, and hot tea in cold weather. Restaurant Lilli operates in a beautiful art nouveau house built in the 1930s. There is a 30-seat restaurant on the ground floor and a 20-seat restaurant. A 60-seat terrace is opened in the courtyard of the building in the summer season. ‘Traveller’ statue

The Postal Road is a trading and military route with a fascinating history which has connected Tartu to Vastseliina and Russia for centuries. From the mid-19th century it became a postal route, which led to the development of a network of post stations. That's where the road gets its name from today.The 'Traveller' statue on the Postal Road is the first sculpture in Estonia to be dedicated to roads and travelling. It depicts a man with a postal bag over his shoulder and a walking stick in his hand. The three-metre-tall statue is made of metal plates measuring 3-5 mm thick which are welded onto the form. It was designed by Mati Karmin.
