Mesi Tare day trip: Boat trip to Piirissaar in Lake Peipsi

A canoe trip on the Põltsamaa River takes you away from the city directly into the silence of the bog. The Põltsamaa River flows through the Endla Nature Reserve, where views of the authentic bog landscape open up. Nature is constantly changing: water levels, weather, and seasons make each trip unique. During the trip, you can stop and step directly onto the edge of the bog from the canoe to pick cranberries, bilberries, or rare cloudberries. The journey takes you through quiet river stretches, offering real relaxation and the peace of nature. The trip can be chosen as a one-day, two-day, or multi-day adventure. There is an option to make a detour to Lake Endla. A shorter route can be completed at the Kirikumäe campfire site, while the longer route ends at Jõeküla Bridge. If desired, you can continue from there for a multi-day journey. The Põltsamaa River is known for its clear water and is very popular among fishermen. Before or after the canoe trip, it is worth exploring the nearby springs (Norra Springs, Oostriku Springs, Sopa Spring, etc.). A true nature experience awaits — grab a paddle and come discover!

The nature trail connecting two cities runs along the banks of the Pedeli River. The asphalt trail is 5 km long. If you find yourself on a boardwalk in the middle of the path, you have already crossed the border. Take the time to climb the stairs to Pudrumägi hill, which offers a wonderful view of the twin cities! There is no rush here – there are children's playgrounds, outdoor gyms, a beach, a recreation area on the peninsula, and even dog parks by the trail. The tracks are perfect for walking, cycling, rollerblading, and skiing. Come and enjoy this beautiful city!

Our captain will take you by the speedboat to the Emajõgi-Suursoo delta at the Peipsiveere Nature Reserve, which has beautiful nature, several rivers and lakesthat are rich in Estonia's different animal species.In addition to the captain, the speedboat can accommodate seven people. You can begin the journey from the River Ahja in Lääniste, or arrange to start from the River Emajõgi in Kavastu village in Luunja county, or another location that suits you. Emajõe-Suursoo is an interesting and vibrant water maze of several rivers and lakes. We will ride SUP or paddle boards through the watery labyrinth from Emajõe-Suursoo to Lake Peipsi, where we will cook a delicious dinner over a live fire, rest our feet, and spend the night on a wild beach in hanging beds. There is an opportunity to swim, and those who do not want to sleep in can enjoy the sunrise! The trip includes basic SUP training, equipment, two meals, hanging bed rental, and hiking guide service. The trip is suitable for children aged 13+. Come and immerse yourself in Estonia's magical nature!

A hike about a kilometre long with a guide and lanterns on the territory of Kalevipoeg's Home. We will visit the local history exhibition in ancient buildings and the playground, pass through a pine forest and the adventure park. We will drink tea that has been boiled on a campfire.Suitable for groups of different ages - kindergarten children, school groups, groups of coworkers, families, friend groups, etc. Catering can also be arranged and rooms can be rented in the community centre or museum. The lantern tour can be a part of your visit or a special occasion for a visit.Addditionally, you can visit the Kalevipoeg Museum and go sledding, ice skating and tubing in winter when there's snow.
