The Männikjärv bog study trail is located within the Endla landscape protection area of Jõgeva County. Beginning and ending in Tooma, the walking trail is marked by blue-streaked trees and runs for 7.3 km. The trail takes about 2 hours to complete.A high observation tower, standing 7 m tall, provides a beautiful view of the entire Männikjärv bog. Did you know...When the water is high, some parts of the bog may be impassable. If you want to stay at Männikjärv, organize a public event for more than 20 people or if you want to drive on all-terrain vehicle, you must first apply for permission from the manager of the protected area – the Estonian Environmental Board.
Anna Haava (1864–1957) was an Estonian poet, librettist, and translator who was born on Haavakivi Farm in Pala Parish, Tartu County.The memorial room located in the Kodavere Heritage Centre exhibits photographs of the poet and her relatives, along with a family tree, poetry collections and translations, memorabilia, parts of Anna Haava's correspondence, copies of documents, and a model of Haavakivi Farm.
This winter, a skating rink of almost 1,000 square metres will be erected around the Kissing Students fountain on the Town Hall Square, where the most romantic and fun winter entertainment – skating – can be enjoyed under the starry sky.The skating rink can be used free of charge, and both young and old guests can rent skates from the pavilion in the immediate vicinity of the rink on the basis of a price list. A unique floating house in the middle of the Kalli River is waiting for you – away from civilization and only accessible by water!The floating house is suitable for a holiday in Estonian nature for both colleagues and families/friends. We offer accommodation for up to 30 people (mattresses and pillows are available). When staying here, be sure to bring a sleeping bag, bath towel, swimwear, your own food, and drinking water. There is electricity (with a generator) and a gas stove in the kitchen with everything you need. The raft house has a sauna and a separate lounge, and canoes and rowing boats can be used.The price starts from 450 euros and depends on the size of the group.
Theatre House, situated in Tartu Old Town, is a theatre inspired by a museum, forming a part of the Tartu Toy Museum. The Theatre House takes its inspiration from our childhood, the games we played, the dreams we had, and the fantasies we brought to life. The Theatre House stages plays, but you can also put on your own show, play games, make handicrafts, and discover what goes on behind the scenes in the theatre world. There is a children’s studio on the first floor, in which children’s groups can take part in theatre-themed programmes. Visitors find a museum, an automated puppet theatre, and several exciting theatre-themed exhibitions in the basement level.
