Come and experience Estonia's vast natural landscapes in a primal way — by dogsled! Karusaare dogsled trips in Tartu County offer unforgettable experiences throughout the year in the forest landscape of Järvselja and the Peipsiveere Nature Reserve in Emajõe-Suursoo. From autumn to spring, we move on off-road carts and, in winter, when there is enough snow, on traditional sleds. You can choose a shorter trip or a longer journey. It is an appropriate activity for the whole family, including children over the age of 3. The hike begins and ends at the sled dog training center, where the instructor shares the necessary safety and driving instructions. On our journey, we take short breaks to water the dogs, and on longer journeys, we stop by the fire to enjoy a bit of heat, light, and warm food. If you wish, you can also order catering to make your trip even more memorable. Trips only take place when the air temperature is below +12 °C and there is no storm warning or wind gusting above 15 m/s.

Vudila Playland has a large outdoor water park with a three-tier slide and a tube, saunas, swings, climbing attractions, trampolines, sky-jump, bumper cars, adventure trails, ATVs, electronic games, paddle boats, water bikes, a large playroom, animals, horse riding, and more. Vudila also offers catering and you can fish for trout here. On Sundays we have plays for the entire family!All children, their parents, grandparents, and friends are welcome – everyone will find something to do here for the whole day! Vudila Playland is located in Tartu County, near the picturesque Kaiavere Lake, 1.7 km from Elistvere Animal Park.

Tartu Snow Park offers a total of eight hectares of sled and tube tracks – a true snow paradise. There are seven snow tube tracks at the Tartu Snow Park, all of which have different speeds and lengths and therefore, they are suitable for toddlers, teenagers, and adults. Come and spend some lovely time with family, friends, or by yourself. We also have a sledding slope where you can ride your sledge for free. Do not waste your day indoors. Otepää Winterplace – four months of winter fun for the entire family!Otepää Winterplace is a winter fun park for the entire family that offers various leisure activities in the Linnamäe Valley in the centre of Otepää. Here, you will find snowtubing tracks and tube rental, sledging and skiing slopes, Zipfy sledges for hire, a skating rink and igloo cinema. Children of various ages, teenagers and adults alike can find something exiting to do here.

During the summer season, beautiful Pühajärve Beach awaits you in Otepää with its clean sand, swimming pier, and full-sized outdoor swimming pool. In the summer, the beach has lifeguards, several catering companies, SUP board rentals, and boat rentals offering row boats, canoes, and pedal boats. A special pier and changing room have been built for visitors in wheelchairs. During the winter, a winter swimming pool is open on the beach. Pühajärve Park, which surrounds the beach, invites both young and old to walk along its shady paths. Come to Pühajärve and enjoy a day at the beach!

Tamme Stadium with its long traditions is the most important stadium for athletic events and football in Tartu.Athletes can take advantage of the various opportunities of the contemporary stadium for football practices, track and field trainings and events.Amateur athletes and all others can use the 1 km running track along the fence, outdoor gym equipment, volleyball and basketball courts, sand court for beach volleyball and the rollerskating, roller skiing and cycling track for free. The stadium building has a gym, a room for aerobics, a gymnastics hall and a running track with a special surface. There is also a large playground on the premises.

Families with children are particularly welcome in the Lake Pühajärv Park as there are many opportunities to feed ducks and other birds when walking on the lakeshore. There is an exercise track by the northern part of the park. This is also the place where you will find the beach with a beach house, cafés, arbours and boat hire.The park used to be a part of the Pühajärv Manor Park and it was designed as a walking forest with paths already in the 19th century. The park is mainly a naturally grown forest.
