The University of Tartu Botanical Garden offers study programmes and excursions for visitors of all ages. There are more than 10,000 species and varieties of plants in the garden. In addition to natural plants, including rare protected plants, we introduce new decorative plants. In the greenhouses, rainforest and desert plants can be seen. We are the oldest botanical garden in the Baltic States, operating for more than 200 years in the same location. The garden is designed by world-renowned botanists, professors Ledebour and Bunge. Guests can visit the greenhouses with a ticket, but the garden is open for everyone for free. There is a playground for children.

Vudila Playland has a large outdoor water park with a three-tier slide and a tube, saunas, swings, climbing attractions, trampolines, sky-jump, bumper cars, adventure trails, ATVs, electronic games, paddle boats, water bikes, a large playroom, animals, horse riding, and more. Vudila also offers catering and you can fish for trout here. We offer you an archaic and rustic smoke sauna experience directly on the slope of Obinitsa. The use of the smoke sauna is generally included in the room price. From the smoke sauna, you can dive directly into the refreshing barrel sauna and enjoy the healing beauty of Setomaa nature vis-à-vis. The smoke sauna tradition is one of the most special in the region. Heating the sauna is a long process that lasts several hours. Once the last smoke, or "karm," is released from the heated room, the true sauna enjoyment can begin. In a well-prepared smoke sauna, the air is clear and light, the steam pleasantly soft, and health-restoring. It is not just a place to wash, but part of an experience where rituals, stories, and closeness to nature help balance both body and mind. Don't be surprised if you hear chickens clucking or smell ponies Saara and Spotter in the air. They too are busy with their daily activities at Ilmaveere, and this is part of the unique Setomaa atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The smoke sauna traditions of Vana-Võrumaa are listed in the UNESCO cultural heritage.

The Mõniste Museum is the oldest open-air museum in Estonia; here you can light a fire in a Stone Age tepee or practice archery, slinging or lassoing. You can also learn how to make bone and earthenware objects, weave fishing nets and fabric, grind grain or bake a loaf of Stone Age bread. The threshing barn dating back to Czarist times features the interior of the 19th century building, tools, household utensils and clothing. The farmhouse from the times of the first Republic of Estonia exhibits the tools that blacksmiths used, horse necessaries, handicraft tools, national costumes, folk music instruments, etc. You can also try what farm works felt like at that time.

Võisiku manor was first mentioned in 1558. It was one of the biggest manors in Livonia in the 18th and 19th centuries, stretching from Põltsamaa to Lake Võrtsjärv. There were 52 buildings on the manor originally, some of which we can still see today, and a further 67 in outlying parts of the manor and its mirror factory. Lord of the manor Timotheus Eberhard von Bock, who drew up Russia's first constitution for Emperor Alexander I and was sent to the Schlüsselburg fortress for 9 years for doing so, is the central character in Estonian author Jaan Kross' novel "The Emperor's Madman". Did you know...? *Today the main building houses Võisiku Nursing Home and can only be viewed from the exterior

The one-storey stone manor was built in the first half of the 19th century. The buildings of Ropka Manor are located on both sides of the street of Ropka tee. Preserved manor buildings include the farm hand's house, cattle barn, converted stables and a barn, a cellar and a park. There were three ponds in the park and it is planned to restore one of them. There was an orchard with a regular plan on the western side of the servants' house, which is now a built-up area.The building is in private ownership and can only be viewed from the outside.
