Emajõe City Beach

The park is the city's historical representative square on the eastern shore of the Räpina artificial lake.What makes the park unique is the fact that two obelisks dedicated to the fallen soldiers stand side by side there. The new design of the park highlights the monument erected for the soldiers who fought in the Estonian War of Independence, and next to it, behind the thujas, is a memorial to the soldiers of the Soviet Army.The park is popular because it is located on the shores of the Räpina artificial lake. In addition, there are a lot of different species and an impressive poplar boulevard that leads to the city's public swimming area.

The Palumägede hiking trail is situated near Lake Pangodi, within the picturesque Pangodi Landscape Reserve, and is an ideal destination for nature lovers seeking an active holiday experience. The hiking trail offers diverse landscapes with pleasantly alternating ups and downs, adding a little excitement to the hike. The starting point of the hiking trail is conveniently located at the second parking lot of Palumägede, where you will also find an information board that gives a good overview of the surrounding nature. Clear signposts and benches along the trail make the walk particularly comfortable. The Palumägede campfire site offers a space for grilling, swimming, and camping.

Families with children are particularly welcome in the Lake Pühajärv Park as there are many opportunities to feed ducks and other birds when walking on the lakeshore. There is an exercise track by the northern part of the park. This is also the place where you will find the beach with a beach house, cafés, arbours and boat hire.The park used to be a part of the Pühajärv Manor Park and it was designed as a walking forest with paths already in the 19th century. The park is mainly a naturally grown forest.

Lake Põlva and its beach offer a variety of opportunities for active recreation and plenty of options for enjoying the water. By the lake you will find playgrounds, skateboarding and rollerblading areas and walking tracks. What makes the lake unique is the light installation on its island, where 150 different coloured lanterns light up the sky when darkness falls.

The Pikksaare hiking trail begins at the swimming and camping area by Lake Pangodi. While walking along the hiking trail, you can enjoy peace and idyllic views of the lake and the surrounding nature and make a short detour to the War of Independence Memorial. The directional signs placed along the trail will help make the hike smoother. The hiking trail passes the Pangodi campfire site, where you can take a short break, as there is a shelter, a barbecue area, a nice swimming spot, and opportunities for camping. The quay of the river Emajõgi on the side of Supilinn features a nice promenade (1.3 km), which is lined with an enchanting avenue of old poplars. The avenue takes past the village swing, small Konnatiik and Tähtvere Sports Park where anyone can find a suitable activity all year round. On the Supilinna promenade, you will see health enthusiasts enjoying their sports. During the summer, the citizens take the avenue on bikes or walking to the Emajõe free pool beach to swim .
