Tehvandi Disc Golf Park is located in Otepää, on the hilly grounds of the Tehvandi Sports Center. It consists of a driving range and 18 baskets of different lengths. The disc golf park's winter, half-length 9-basket course starts and ends at the Tehvandi Hotel and runs around the historic Otepää Hill Fort. Discs can be rented from the Tehvandi Hotel front desk, which also has a map of the course that you can take with you. Fresh air and nature await — disc golf is a good way to spend time with family and friends. Come and see for yourself!

Saarjärve Villa lakeside saunas offer a private, nature-centered experience in Southern Estonia, ideal for guests seeking a peaceful retreat, a high-quality sauna experience, and the opportunity to enjoy local flavors. The lakeside complex includes an oval sauna, a glass sauna, and a hot tub, with windows overlooking the bog lake and surrounding forests. Our most popular service is the daytime sauna package with catering, which is ideal for small groups, birthdays, team days, or relaxation after an active hike on South Estonia's trails. The package includes dinner, snacks, and an optional drink package. In the summer, paddleboards and a rowboat are available at the saunas for exploring the lake. Terraces and relaxation areas create a pleasant spot for sunbathing or outdoor dining. Saarjärve lakeside saunas are the perfect place for those who want to combine nature retreats, sauna rituals, and culinary experiences on a private and beautiful lakeside.

The Aura Centre offers the best athletic entertainment for visitors of any age. Our pool, water park, and sauna centre are perfect for the entire family to enjoy themselves, relax, and exercise. The centre-pieces of the water park are the 55- and 38-metre slides. The sauna centre offers relaxation in a pleasant environment. We have nine different saunas, as well as a hot tub, and a 40 °C Japanese bath. There is also a winter room where you can refresh yourself and a hot tub on the outdoor terrace.The water centre provides various activities and is the best place for any event. Aura Centre is waiting for you to come and enjoy yourself! The Aura Centre will be closed throughout July.

Maarjamäe House is cosy place for families and smaller companies. You are welcome to use the sauna or have barbeque in the fireplace. A fence surrounds the house, so kids don’t have access to the pond or road.

Sepa Farm is a cosy cottage in Aakre village in Tartu County. Guests can use the entire house, which has a bedroom, a walk-through room, a spacious living room, and a kitchen. In total, the holiday house can accommodate 8 people. Guests are provided with clean bed linen and the kitchen is equipped with an oven, a fridge, a kettle, a coffee maker, and other necessary kitchen utensils. There is also a wood-burning grill on the terrace.Sepa Farm is an ideal holiday cottage for families with children: it is possible to feed animals on the farm, hike in the forest, go to the sauna, and pick berries and mushrooms.

Come walk with your family on the Taevaskoda hiking trail, located in the Ahja River Valley Landscape Reserve. The trail starts from the Taevaskodade parking lot and runs circularly along both banks of Ahja River, where the outcrops of Väike and Suur Taevaskoja, caves formed by springs, and picturesque views catch your eye.At the beginning of the hiking trail, there is an information board with a map of the recreational area and the trail. On the trail, signs in Estonian, English, and Russian will help you find the way. Visitors with a wheelchair or a stroller can travel along the alternative trail to Suur Taevaskoda, length 3 km. Good to know: you can see kingfishers flying around while walking in Taevaskoda.

Kristjan Jaak Peterson (14 March 1801 – 4 August 1822) was an Estonian writer who is considered to be the founder of Estonian national literature.He studied in the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy of the University of Tartu from 1819 to 1820. He called himself a singer of the country people, appreciated the national features of literature, and thought that the creation of original Estonian literature was possible.There is a bronze monument to him on Toomemägi, which was completed in 1983 by J. Soans and A. Murdmaa, and a high school named after him in Tartu.On the writer's birthday, 14 March, we celebrate Mother Tongue Day.Fun fact: Peterson walked from Tartu to Riga more than 200 years ago due to lack of money.
