Otepää Adventure Park

The real Mecca for family holidays and business clients is located in Otepää. The golf centre is located a stone’s throw from Tartu Airport (37 km). Astri Arena is the largest and most modern indoor ice rink in Southern Estonia, and the only ice rink open all year round in the entire region. It is located in Tartu Lõunakeskus and offers sports and entertainment for visitors of all ages. You can skate at Astri Arena in any weather. In addition to regular skating, Astri Arena hosts fun ice discos, great family events, sports competitions, and training sessions. It is also a great place to organize memorable birthday parties and school or team events. Visitors can rent skates, helmets, and assistive skate frames, which make the first steps on the ice safe even for small children. A full-size ice rink right in a shopping center is a rare — there are only a few similar indoor ice rinks. The Fairy Trail, also known as the Vitipalu Adventure Trail, offers a fairytale experience for both children and adults. The trail takes you through the mushroom and berry forests of Elva, where Witch Island awaits, featuring the lovely "Little Witch" house, cool tree sculptures, and a low-adventure trail built in the middle of the forest, perfect for children and families to have a great time in nature. The 1.4 km long trail, part of which is accessible with a stroller, intersects with the Elva River's primeval valley hiking trail and introduces the diverse landscape of Elva. The trail starts and ends at the RMK Jõeharu picnic area and camping site, where several shelters with grills and campfire sites are available.

Come and experience Estonia's vast natural landscapes in a primal way — by dogsled! Karusaare dogsled trips in Tartu County offer unforgettable experiences throughout the year in the forest landscape of Järvselja and the Peipsiveere Nature Reserve in Emajõe-Suursoo. From autumn to spring, we move on off-road carts and, in winter, when there is enough snow, on traditional sleds. You can choose a shorter trip or a longer journey. It is an appropriate activity for the whole family, including children over the age of 3. The hike begins and ends at the sled dog training center, where the instructor shares the necessary safety and driving instructions. On our journey, we take short breaks to water the dogs, and on longer journeys, we stop by the fire to enjoy a bit of heat, light, and warm food. If you wish, you can also order catering to make your trip even more memorable. Trips only take place when the air temperature is below +12 °C and there is no storm warning or wind gusting above 15 m/s.

The northern shore of Lake Kuremaa is home to the only beach in Jõgeva County manned by lifeguards. Here you will find a 250-metre stretch of golden sand, aquabikes and boat hire, a beachfront cafe, a playground, areas for ball games, a caravan park and more. You can also camp here. The swimming area is marked by buoys. The water temperature is measured constantly, with information provided on special stands.

Tartu Environmental Education Centre encourages people to value nature and behave in an environmentally friendly way. We are a piece of nature right in the heart of Tartu, offering relaxing and exciting and educational activities for both young and old visitors.Tartu Environmental Education Centre offers: temporary exhibitions and summer special exhibitions on nature, permanent exhibition ‘Transparent nature house, species-rich winter garden, animal room (pre-bookings), some educational task trails, environmentally friendly souvenirs and snacks, excursions (pre-bookings), a park wit study trails, flower beds and playground.

Alaveski Animal Park offers an opportunity for observing animals in their natural environment. The fauna of the animal park is very diverse; there are 90 different animals and 28 pheasants living in the Alaveski farm. Here you can meet two bear cubs, Mõmsik and Harry as well as squirrels, foxes, deer and wild boars who were the first inhabitants in the park. In cooperation with our partners you can go canoeing, roast game on the grill or hunt for pheasants during the hunting season.

You are greeted in Witch Country by senior witch Uhti, who will lead you to the Secret Witch's Trail. There you will encounter a range of obstacles and other surprises. Afterwards, while relaxing in the barbecue area, witch August will prepare something special for you. You can also cook something for yourself, and try a special witch potion. There are also games and competitions with prizes, and dancing with the witches themselves! The adventure lasts for around two hours and costs €200 for a group of up to 30 people. Every additional person costs €4.
