Apteekrimäe forest track starts and ends by Otepää Sports Hall on Mäe Street. The 4 km track runs through the forest to Nüpli Sports Track and then back to the Apteekri forest, where it meets the forest path between Lake Marguse and Otepää Garden Town before returning to its starting point after crossing the Sulaoja bridge. The track can be used all year round.
The emotional and powerful memorial (2016) was erected to honour the harsh fate of the people deported from Võru and Võru County from 1941 to 1952. The sculptor is Jaak Soans.The memorial depicts two rows of bronze animal wagons placed on a concrete block 1.6 metres high, with human figures visible between them. A ramp made of original railway sleepers and dolomite gravel, which is 4 metres wide and 16 metres long, takes to the memorial. The total length of the memorial complex is almost 24 meters.

She was an outstanding woman who had 11 children and survived Siberia. We wanted to commemorate her and this is why we named the store after her.
Kirsi Farm is a cosy guesthouse in Setomaa, near Meremäe. The renovated farmhouse offers a comfortable stay for families. You can sleep in an old barn, a renovated livestock housing, or on hay in the loft. The rooms are decorated with photos of the hostess’s ancestors. There are also Seto folk costumes which you can try on. There is a camping and bonfire site, barbeque equipment, and a smoke sauna, where you can try making smoked meat with the host. Emajõe City Beach is located on the left bank of the Emajõgi River in Tartu’s Ülejõe district and is a popular place among locals during the summer. There is a sandy beach for sunbathing. There are various attractions for children: swings, climbing equipment and a slide. During the summer months, the coast guard also works during the day.On the city side of the beach, you will find the Lodjakoda, which operates as centre for building historical ships and a theme park as well as a museum, where adults and children alike can see how barges are made. This is also the harbour where viking and barge trips start.
One of the most important battles of the War of Independence took place near the Paju Manor on 31 January 1919. The Northern Sons Regiment that consisted of Finnish volunteers also fought for the independence of Estonia over here. The most legendary commander in the War of Independence, Lieutenant Julius Kuperjanov, was fatally injured in the battle. The battle memorial is a granite pillar on a three-level pyramid, which was reopened on the 75th anniversary of the battle on 30 January 1994.Interesting facts: * the memorial was opened by President of the Republic of Estonia Lennart Meri; * a memorial tablet to the Northern Sons who fell in the battle can be found on the wall of the Valga Jaani (St John’s) Church.
