Luunja Manor Park

Luunja Manor Park was established in the 18th century as a Baroque park by Count B.C. von Münnich and redesigned as an irregular landscape park at the end of the 19th century. There is a rose garden near the park that is a great place for cultural events, picnics, and walks in the summer. In addition to the park, there are also several historical monuments in the exhibition areas of the manor. These include the alleys of the manor, the walls surrounding the park and the garden, the old distillery and smithy, the gardener's house, and a cattle-barn complex.

Ala-Rõuge Guesthouse

Ala-Rõuge Guesthouse provides affordable accommodation in the heart of Rõuge. The former mill building of the local manor, it dates back to 1885. In the intervening years it served many purposes, but was fully restored as a guesthouse in 1998. It is spacious and the hosts are very welcoming.Just a stone's throw from the guesthouse is Estonia's deepest lake, known as Rõuge Suurjärv, which is perfect for swimming in summer. There are also hiking trails in the surrounding forests. Winter pastimes such as skiing and skating provide fun for all the family. And when the weather is inclement, you can always stay indoors and make the most of the guesthouse's board games.

Elva Song Festival Grounds

Elva Song Festival Grounds, like every other one, has a symbolic and sacred meaning in preserving the Estonian national culture and song festival tradition. While singing together with others, one feels unity and the joy of Estonian freedom. Elva Song Festival Grounds is located in the centre of Elva, near Lake Arbi in a pine forest. It is not only for song festivals but also a beautiful place for concerts and parties. The Song Festival Grounds was built in 1951. On 8 August 2015, a memorial to the Estonian choir conductor and teacher Ants Sööt (8 August 1935 – 17 October 2013) from Elva, who is buried in Elva Cemetery, was erected at the Song Festival Grounds.

Laskevälja Bike Trail

The 43-kilometer Laskevälja bike trail runs through the forested hills, salt marshes, lake views, and sandy areas of the Mustoja hummock region. The trail introduces the area's military history: in the 1920s-1930s, the Estonian Defense Forces shooting range was located here. The bike trail is a proper challenge even for a well-conditioned hiker: due to elevation differences and sandy roads, there are places where you need to push the bike alongside you. While the 17-kilometer section from Värska to Lõunalaager is quite flat, the return part of the trail is longer (26 km) and significantly more difficult. The starting point of the bike trail is RMK Värska campfire site, where there is a large trail map. In addition, we facilitate an organic transition between the hiking and biking trails to understand that moving on the trail is not just about sports, but also about discovering an exciting cultural history: in this area, nature and history met.
