Come and discover the charm of Kütiorg – Estonia’s largest and deepest valley in Haanja Nature Park offers experiences in every season!Kütiorg Centre combines beautiful nature, active leisure and cosy accommodation – here, adrenaline meets peace, sport meets relaxation. In winter, all skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts are welcome. The valley features 7 slopes, so everyone can find their favourite. There are 4 ski lifts. Artificial snow is produced, so winter fun can last until spring. In summer, you can hike the longer (9.6 km) or shorter (2.8 km) Kütiorg trail, enjoy the lake with a SUP board or water bike, and play volleyball or badminton. It’s also a great place to organise summer days, corporate events, birthdays and other celebrations. The main building houses a café and equipment rental. We also offer accommodation and relaxing sauna experiences. In Kütiorg, sporting challenges meet natural wonders – an ideal place for families, friends and groups. Suur Munamägi is the highest peak in the Baltics, rising 318 meters above sea level. The 29.1-meter-tall observation tower at the top of the hill was completed in 1939 and offers breathtaking views up to 50 kilometers away in clear weather. From here, the true essence of Estonia’s landscape unfolds—vast forests stretching into the distance, shimmering lakes, rolling hills, and the scattered farmsteads of Old Võromaa. The views from the tower are different every time—spring brings soft green tones, summer a lush abundance of color, autumn radiant foliage, and winter paints the landscape with a fairytale-like white. This is why Suur Munamägi remains a unique destination throughout the year. Suur Munamägi has been a beloved attraction for over two centuries—the first observation tower was built here in 1812. The current tower is the sixth in its history; previous wooden or lower towers were gradually destroyed or dismantled. For this reason, the present tower is a historical gem of its own kind, combining both cultural and natural value.

The 3-kilometre-long Sangaste forest park trail is located in Kiidjärve-Kooraste Recreation Area and starts from the forest park behind the Sangaste Castle.The trail introduces the forest park, founded by Count Friedrich Magnus Berg, where nearly a few hundred different species of trees and shrubs are represented. The trail has signs, stairs, bridges, and information boards that introduce the forest park and the various species of trees. There's also a campfire site on the trail with a fire pit, benches, a toilet, and a wood shed, which can also be used as a shelter.Interesting fact: Estonia's tallest, a 42-metre-tall Douglas tree grows in the park. It's possible to visit the Sangaste Castle during opening hours.

Karula National Park is Estonia's smallest national park, characterized by a hilly landscape rich in lakes, with 60 lakes on the highland. The national park is open to everyone: families, backpackers, and nature enthusiasts, offering various opportunities for relaxation and hiking. At the visitor center located by Lake Ähijärv, you can get information about the opportunities available in the national park, and the permanent exhibition there introduces the history, nature, folk culture of the Karula region, as well as the modern lifestyle. The heart of the national park is Lake Ähijärv, which is ideal for boating, swimming, and enjoying nature. Hiking enthusiasts are awaited by well-maintained trails that lead through forests, wooded meadows, and hilly landscapes, offering views unique to Karula. Popular destinations include the Rebäse hiking trail, Lüllemäe observation tower, and Kaika hillocks, which offer a great view of the rolling landscape. The national park has plenty of camping and bonfire sites, as well as natural swimming spots, making it suitable for both day trips and longer vacations.

There is an 18-hole discgolf park near the Kubija Lake in Võru. It is mainly meant for beginners. The tracks are marked with maps and there are directions to the next track at the bottom of the baskets. Players must bring their own discs. The first track begins in front of Kubija Song Festival Grounds.

This canoe trip in South Estonia, on the Võhandu River through a primeval valley, is suitable for anyone looking for untouched nature, adventure, and beautiful views! You do not need previous experience or canoeing skills because the canoes are stable, and the instruction beforehand is thorough. We organize canoe trips along the most attractive sections of the Võhandu River; trips can last from two hours to three days. The river valley is popular with hikers for its unique sandstone outcrops. The canoe trip includes equipment (canoes, paddles, life jackets, waterproof bags), instruction, shore security, and a car transfer to the endpoint.

A beautiful bog lake hides in the shade of a pine forest in the northern part of the Lulli bog next to Lake Võrtsjärv. The natural lake is large (23 ha) and very shallow (there is only a metre of water here).The hiking trail starts at the information stand in the car park. Further on, the boardwalk leads directly to the water, which offers scenic views of the lake and the surrounding bog landscape. The short hiking trail (2.3 km) runs around the lake. It is impossible to get lost here, because the trail is circular and everyone finally gets back to the starting point.In the second half of the summer, cloudberries, blueberries, cranberries, and mushrooms can be picked from the surroundings.
