Mesi tare guesthouse offers the opportunity to spend the night in boat houses located on the shores of Lake Peipus. You can choose between 5 boat houses. The boats are in different sizes, all with a large double bed in the bow, a seating area, and a kitchenette equipped with electricity and a mini-fridge. There is outdoor seating next to the boat and a campfire site with barbecue facilities. At the beach you’ll find a sand-bottom swimming area.Various old boats have been brought to life offering a romantic and authentic accommodation. You can watch the nature’s starry sky TV, view the club-rush channels, the moon gleaming in the sky and swans, seagulls, ducks, or nosy foxes as a part of nature’s special programmes.

The Liphardt tomb chapel

The Vastseliina manor chapel, popularly called the Liphardt tomb chapel, is situated in the old cemetery of Vastseliina (also known as the German cemetery). The chapel was completed in the same year as the current Vastseliina church, in 1772.The Liphardts, one of the wealthiest noble families of Livonia, governed the entire Vastseliina parish from Misso to Orava and ruled Vastseliina for seven generations. In addition to Vastseliina, the family also owned several other manors, including the Raadi manor.The Vastseliina manor chapel is one of the most remarkable examples of early classicist rural chapels.Visitors are welcome to see the exterior of the chapel only.

Discs can be borrowed free of charge from Alatskivi Castle's reception desk during the castle's opening hours, provided an identity document is presented. Grab the discs, invite your friends, and head to Alatskivi Castle Park. Enjoy a game, nature, and the unique atmosphere of the castle's garden!

University of Tartu Botanical Garden

The University of Tartu Botanical Garden offers study programmes and excursions for visitors of all ages. There are more than 10,000 species and varieties of plants in the garden. In addition to natural plants, including rare protected plants, we introduce new decorative plants. In the greenhouses, rainforest and desert plants can be seen. We are the oldest botanical garden in the Baltic States, operating for more than 200 years in the same location. The garden is designed by world-renowned botanists, professors Ledebour and Bunge. Guests can visit the greenhouses with a ticket, but the garden is open for everyone for free. There is a playground for children.

Ice skating in the Venice of Peipsi

The hike will last up to three hours. We will ice skate along the channels that are covered with smooth ice. We will also skate over/around flooded meadows, stop at beaver dams and otter burrows, explore animal tracks on the snow, and admire Lake Peipus as well. In the middle of the hike, we will take a short break to drink tea and have a bite to eat. If it is allowed to go on Lake Peipus at the time of the hike, we will skate back along the shore of Lake Peipus. The hike is for adults!Participants will receive the hiking skates (attached to your boots), poles, and ice awls. NB! Bring your ID-card.

Forest Restaurant – is the art of cooking and serving food in the wild.The interior changes every season and the experience comes from authentic food, which is partly cooked over open fire. No plastic plates, plastic tents or garden chairs. There is a campfire, wooden dinnerware, camping frying pans, and a sooty coffee pot.Celebrate your birthday in nature with your friends, sitting by the fire, enjoying good food and having a pleasant conversation. If you want, you can order Forest Restaurant to a place suitable for you. The service is available for groups from 10 people in Põlva County and from 15 people elsewhere in Estonia. A transport fee of 150€ is added to the price outside Põlva County.
