The uninhabited Salosaar is one of the 30 islands of Lake Peipsi. There used to be a farm, a restaurant with a dance floor and a windmill on the island but these were destroyed in different wars. The defence line that the Germans built during WWII but never used has also collapsed. At the moment, the island does not have any inhabitants; the only 'vacationers' are cormorants. The guesthouse on the second floor of Mooste Distillery offers cosy rooms with all of the mod cons. The rooms are named after master distillers who worked at the factory. There are six rooms in the guesthouse and one mini-suite.The renovated historic distillery at Mooste Manor (1909) is home to the Estonian Photo Tourism Centre, which offers the use of a photo studio, photography courses and natures tours with a photographer. The distillery has a number of rooms that can be used for conferences, training courses, wedding and other events. Sauna and jacuzzi facilities are also available.

The central square of Valga is located in the heart of the city and connects the two sides of the city, Valga and Valka, into one whole. Võru Bank Building is undoubtedly one of the most stylish stone buildings in Võru. The traditional building was completed in 1938 around the then main square marketplace. The style is characterised by a high roof, symmetrical facade with stylised pillar motifs, including national ornamentation. The architects were Edgar Johan Kuusik and Anton Soans, the bas-reliefs were made by Aleksander Kaasik.Currently, the building houses an SEB branch office, the souvenir and gift shop Must Kass, and the editorial office of LõunaLeht.

Near Verevi Beach is Elva Sports Park, which features a tennis court, outdoor gym, Elva City Stadium, Seeneriigi playground, and a running track under the pines. In winter, it is possible to sled down the lake slope and skate on the lake ice rink when ice conditions are favorable. Skates can be rented during the winter from Verevi Motel.
