The ruins of Helme Order Castle are situated on a steep slope by the Pärnu-Valga road. The castle is thought to have been built in the first half of the 14th century. Parts of its walls with their distinctive window openings remain standing today. Legend has it that a young virgin was entombed within its walls in order to further strengthen it - whether there is any truth to the story is up to visitors to decide! Over the centuries the castle has been governed by Germans, Russians, Lithuanians and finally Swedes - who destroyed it in 1658.Did you know...?*In the valley below the castle is the Doctor's Spring, whose waters are said to cure seven different ailments.

Come and discover the magic of blind embossing! Create your own embossed artwork in a unique printmaking workshop. Cut an image into a linoleum sheet and see how the play of shadow and light remains on the paper. Blind embossing is a printing technique where a linoleum block is printed without color, leaving only a relief mark on the paper. In the workshop, each participant will make a linoleum block (10x15 cm) according to their own design. The communal granary in Nursi Village by the Võru-Valga road was built in the second half of the 19th century.Building of communal granaries started in Estonia already during the second half of the18th century. The required grain reserve was kept there and peasants could borrow grain for food or sowing.As this is the place of summer spare-time activities in Rõuge Rural Municipality, the Nursi communal granary is also known as Midriait.You can see the unplastered quarrystone building with a hipped roof from the outside.

Pühaste Kelder, located in the heart of Tartu, is the representative bar of Pühaste Brewery. Here, the freshest IPAs are less than 24 hours old. We also offer experimental beers and if you do not find something from this selection, you can choose from 21 tap beers. The beginning of the story of Pühaste Brewery dates back to 2011 when Eero Mander first began making beer. He received positive feedback from a wide circle of beer lovers. The factory was opened in 2016 and the representative bar in 2018.

We offer boat rental in Varnja village, which is located on the shore of Lake Peipus. Lake Peipus is one of the largest lakes in Europe and it is the favourite lake of many fishermen all year round.You can rent both motorboats and rowboats from us. The selection includes various boat models: Cursus440, Progress-4, Voronez, and Kasse. All these are suitable for managing the waves of Lake Peipus.In order to rent a boat you do not have to be interested in only fishing. A beautiful summer weather is especially enjoyable while sailing on water, either by exploring the villages of Old Believers along the shore, sailing to the River Emajõgi located 3 km away or by exploring streams which connect the swamp with Lake Peipus and the River Emajõgi.

Ahja Manor dates back to the Middle Ages (from 1553). The two-storey main building of the baroque Ahja Manor with a half-hipped roof, completed in the late 1740s, was one of the most luxurious in Southern Estonia at that time. In the years 1929–1997, a school operated in the manor house.In 2007, there was a fire in the building and only the walls remained. Several smaller buildings have been preserved from the manor, although most of them have been rebuilt. There is also a beautiful park with a pond which is under nature and heritage protection.The manor with the park is known to many thanks to the book Little Illimar based on the childhood memories of the folk writer Friedebert Tuglas from Ahja.
