Cruffin at Aparaaditehas

Kastani tn 42, Tartu linn, Tartu maakond, 50410

Cruffin at Aparaaditehas is the place where it all began. It was our first bakery and remains the heart of the entire enterprise. Hidden in the creative quarter of Tartu’s Aparaaditehas, Cruffin is a warm, bread-scented place where mornings start early, croissants rise slowly, and time passes at a slightly different speed.
The counter always offers carefully prepared pastries: both classic buttery croissants and playful surprises, such as our famous cheesecake croissant. If you come at the right time, you might also grab warm sourdough bread straight from the oven.
But Cruffin at Aparaaditehas is not only a favorite spot for bread fans. On weekends, a delicious brunch menu awaits, perfect for slow mornings with family or friends. Delightfully silky scrambled eggs, fluffy pancakes… and of course, at the heart of every dish is our homemade bread.
Compared to our smaller location, Cruffin at Tartu’s Town Hall Square, there is more space here, a calmer atmosphere, and the opportunity to truly relax. It’s like a home café that keeps drawing people back.

Laskevälja Bike Trail

The 43-kilometer Laskevälja bike trail runs through the forested hills, salt marshes, lake views, and sandy areas of the Mustoja hummock region. The trail introduces the area's military history: in the 1920s-1930s, the Estonian Defense Forces shooting range was located here. The bike trail is a proper challenge even for a well-conditioned hiker: due to elevation differences and sandy roads, there are places where you need to push the bike alongside you. While the 17-kilometer section from Värska to Lõunalaager is quite flat, the return part of the trail is longer (26 km) and significantly more difficult. The starting point of the bike trail is RMK Värska campfire site, where there is a large trail map. In addition, we facilitate an organic transition between the hiking and biking trails to understand that moving on the trail is not just about sports, but also about discovering an exciting cultural history: in this area, nature and history met.

People are becoming more and more interested in the trees of Estonia and tree tourism is becoming more and more popular. In terms of breadth, the Mäe-Lõhtsuu or Lõhtsu-Reinu oak tree is the second biggest in Estonia. It grows to the west of Urvaste church, next to the Mäe-Lõhtsuu mill on a steep incline close to the ruins of Lõhtsu Farm. Its girth is 7.03 metres and height 28 metres.
