Humal Bistro is a diner in central Tartu inspired by French food culture. We encourage family members, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and well-behaved pets to get together to enjoy good food, carefully matched drinks, jokes, and laughter. Bistro design and French food culture are the keywords that have inspired us when compiling the menu, and they are also the beliefs we follow every day in the kitchen, service, and atmosphere. Bistros are always cozy and welcoming, and we try to reflect the same on our food and drink menus. Simple foods inspired by French cuisine are transformed into high-quality, well-thought-out dishes. We also offer delicious vegetarian meals. All of this is supplemented by an ambitious cocktail menu, an impressive wine cabinet, and one of the city's best tap beer selections. The third joint venture of three friends is conveniently located in the center of Võru. In the mornings, high-quality coffee, local herbal teas, freshly baked pastries, and filled sandwiches are available. Every weekday, we offer a carefully prepared soup and main dish for lunch. The deli fridge offers various salads, sauces, and spreads suitable for our own baked artisan bread for sale. We offer private dinners for 10 to 30 people, catering services, and various solutions to host a lively evening in our cozy café. With us, every dish reflects the care of local creators, making both the body and mind smile.

Boat trips on Lake Peipsi take you to Estonia's largest lake aboard the historic cruise ship Arabella I. Built in 1922 and recently fully renovated, Arabella I is the oldest ship in use in Estonia. On board, you will find a cozy lounge, café area, modern amenities, and a peaceful atmosphere suitable for families, romantics, and culture enthusiasts. Cruises depart by arrangement from Tartu or the Emajõe-Suursoo Center, and the ship can also be booked for special events – from birthdays and seminars to photo sessions and festive receptions. If desired, a local guide, delicious snacks, or live music can be arranged on board. Arabella I offers an unforgettable experience on one of Estonia's most unique bodies of water – Lake Peipsi, where the traditions of Old Believer villages, rich natural heritage, and expansive horizons come together.

Cyanotype is the process by which an image is produced to fabric by the combination of chemicals and UV light. The result is an image with white lines on a blue background. Make an exciting gift and produce a photo, drawing, or silhouette of a dried plant on a T-shirt or a cloth bag. Fabrics with a thinner texture which have been washed without conditioner and ironed beforehand are suitable for this. It is also possible to buy a cloth bag on site.If you want to produce a photo, send it to us in digital form no later than one day before the workshop. We will help you with the rest.

Tamme Outcrop hiking track is located on the eastern shore of Lake Võrtsjärv between the villages of Tamme and Neemisküla in Elva municipality. The area is rich in Devon sandstone outcrops from the Aruküla layer. Tamme Outcrop, which is located on the track, is an area where placoderms have been found and where valuable paleontological material has been collected since the second half of the 19th century.Ten information boards have been set up along the hiking track, which is almost 2 km long. They provide interesting information about the local natural environment. If you walk 1 km north on the track, you can turn back and hike back along a field or on a forest trail on the outcrop.

The monument to Peeter Siegfried Nikolaus Põld (1878–1930), the first Minister of Education and founder of the national university of Estonia, the first professor of pedagogy, was unveiled in front of the Ministry of Education and Research on 1 December 2008.The authors of the monument are sculptor Ekke Väli and architect Ain Rööpson.Under the name of Peeter Põld Day, student scientific conferences have been organised at the University of Tartu since 2008, and on the same day, the university issues a scholarship named after him.

Welcome to the recreation area by Rahinge reservoir (4 km from Tartu).The recreation area has a swimming area, village square and ball courts. The swimming area has a sandy beach, a large float bridge and a changing cabin. The village square has a 500 m2 tent for events, dance floor, stands and a flag pole. Ball courts are suitable for beach football, beach volleyball and beach tennis.Nearby, you find Rahinge Extreme Sports Park. There, you can enjoy the mind-boggling stunts of extreme athletes and try copying those yourself. The park has the necessary equipment.This is a great place for a birthday party or a company event.

The Kaljupealse campfire site is located on the banks of the Võhandu River, in a beautiful pine forest. The riverside and high banks offer a beautiful view of the Võhandu River and sand outcrops. The campfire site has a roofed table and benches, a roofed grill, and firewood. The place is ideal for campers, fishing enthusiasts, and as a resting point for guests coming here with boats.Along the high sandy shores, through a beautiful pine forest, there is an unmarked hiking trail where you can enjoy beautiful views of nature or pick berries and mushrooms.
