Voyages on the Viking ship “Turm”

Sailing along the Emajõgi River, over the Peipus, Võrtsjärv, and Saadjärv lakes, as well as out at sea, the Viking ship “Turm” is an open vessel which sets out on voyages between May and September each year. Able to accommodate up to 12 passengers: larger groups can take turns enjoying the Viking fun at sea or on shore. In addition to voyaging on water, you can take part in exciting Viking games, and show that you’ve got the strength required for the journey. Sailing on the “Turm” is best suited to older children, teenagers, young adults, and those who enjoy physical exercise.

Fantastic rafting trip on the Ahja River

The trip is suitable for groups of friends, families and schoolchildren. The slow waters of the winding river flow by large pine trees and ferns growing on the banks, steep sandstone outcrops covered in forest and caves.This area is the birthplace of many a folk legend – about underground castles, Devil's mills, virgins weaving fabric in deep caves, forest elves wondering about the river and water nymphs sitting on large rocks.Duration of the trip: 1.5-2 hoursWe have a raft for 7-8 persons and another for 9-10.Minimum size of the group: 6-7 peopleThe trip begins at Kiidjärve Nature Centre and ends at the dam of the Taevaskoda hydroelectric power station. Emajõgi Cruise with Pegasus

Come enjoy a boat ride on the Emajõe! The riverboat Pegasus offers an opportunity to experience Tartu as a river city, organizing regular trips and charter journeys for up to 75 people, starting next to the Dorpat Hotel. CHECK THE TIMETABLE.The approximate duration of the trip is 1,5 hours. The boat has a café, and Dorpat Catering provides food services for private events. Pegasus was built in 1958 at the Moscow shipyard in Russia and was named Kreutzwald until 1993. In the 20th century, Pegasus conducted multi-day excursion trips (e.g., autumn berry trips) and also regular services, including routes from Tartu to Ihaste, which later became a pleasure trip.
