Tähtvere Sport Park winter sports trails

During the winter season, Tähtvere Sport Park offers a variety of winter activities and the famous Tähtvere ski trails, suitable for both amateurs and more athletic visitors.
The recreational park features ski trails with artificial snow, totaling approximately 4 kilometers, allowing skiing even when natural snow is scarce. When natural snow is available, additional ski trails open in the dendropark, totaling about 5 kilometers, and a trail along the Emajõgi River, approximately 2.5 kilometers long.
At the heart of the park is the Tartu Song Festival Grounds, where an ice rink is opened under the arch in suitable weather conditions. A sledding hill, sports fields, and playgrounds are also nearby. In the same area, it is possible to rent skates and skis according to the season.
Note: In rainy weather and when temperatures are above zero, the ice rink and rental services are closed.
Tähtvere Sport Park is an ideal place to enjoy winter, be active, and spend quality time in the fresh air.

Kuningamäe ski trails

The best ski trails in Central Estonia are waiting for you in Kuningamäe, Põltsamaa! There is a 1.5 km illuminated trail, which has become very popular among skiers. The track is illuminated until 9 p.m.There is a choice of trails of different lengths: 1.5, 2.6, and 5.7 km. If the weather is good, there are both classic and skate skiing trails. The trails have both natural and artificial snow. We provide high-quality and consistent trail maintenance.During the snow-free season, the Kuningamäe Health Trail is a favourite among runners, walkers, and cyclists. The Kuningamäe Disc Golf Park is also located here!

Tehvandi Ski Training Track

The 5 km ski track of Tehvandi Sports Centre is covered with artificial snow and invites you to ski classic style or freestyle. The relief of the track is difficult with some dangerous downhill parts and it is therefore more suitable for professionals. The track is lit until 10:00 pm every evening. The 10 km Tehvandi hiking track is more suitable for amateurs.

Kääriku Sports Centre

The diversity of sports facilities and beautiful nature bring active people to Kääriku throughout the year.Kääriku Sports Centre was established in 1947 as a study and training centre of the Department of Physical Education and Sport of the University of Tartu. Today, the modern sports centre has a ball hall, tennis and beach volleyball courts, athletics and football stadium, and ski and hiking trails. There is an outdoor swimming pool, the Kekkonen sauna and Green sauna, a sandy beach, and a children's playground by Lake Kääriku. We also offer accommodation, catering, and conference rooms all year round.

Otepää Winterplace

Otepää Winterplace – four months of winter fun for the entire family!Otepää Winterplace is a winter fun park for the entire family that offers various leisure activities in the Linnamäe Valley in the centre of Otepää. Here, you will find snowtubing tracks and tube rental, sledging and skiing slopes, Zipfy sledges for hire, a skating rink and igloo cinema. Children of various ages, teenagers and adults alike can find something exiting to do here.

Kick sledge hike on the ice of Lake Pühajärv or along the sports tracks

Otepää's excellent snow conditions and varied landscape with narrow forest trails and prepared sleigh roads are perfect for kick sledging. Ice conditions permitting, an entirely unique experience is provided by a kick sledge hike across the lake ice.Many participants haven't used a kick sledge since their childhood. Some try it for the first time; however, anyone can master it!The guides add fun to the gathering breaks with games and exciting tales about nature.During the 2–4 hour hike, we will cover about 7 km of winter roads.The size of the group starts from 10 people.This is an EHE product (ecotourism quality mark Genuine and Interesting Estonia).

Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre ski trails

Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre – a winter adventure in Elva's pine forests. Located amidst the beautiful pine forests of Elva, Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre offers numerous opportunities for year-round active recreation. The center is home to the largest and most famous health trail, including the world-renowned Tartu Marathon ski trail, inviting sports and nature enthusiasts to enjoy active leisure time. During winter, visitors can enjoy well-maintained ski trails that start at the Tartu Marathon finish line. The total length of the ski trails on the Tartu Marathon route extends up to 63 km, with 800 meters of illuminated trails, allowing skiing even late in the evening. The ski trails are suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. All necessary ski equipment, including rental and maintenance, is easily available at the Elva Ski Lab, located just a short drive away. Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre is an ideal place for an active winter holiday, offering sporting challenges, beautiful nature, and memorable winter experiences for every visitor.

Tehvandi Ski Track

The relief of the 10 km ski track of Tehvandi Sports Centre is easy and invites you to ski classic style or freestyle. The tracks starts from the Tehvandi Stadium and initially runs along the Tartu Marathon track, then turn left near Ansomäe and gets back to the start through Savimäe, Kasemetsa, Tehvandi fen and Linnamäe.The track at Tehvandi is suitable for amateur skiers even though it is also used by professionals for training and competitions.
