Spring rafting on the Rivers of Võhandu and Piusa

Rafting trip takes place during spring freshet. On the trip, we’ll be using simple new rafts – one for 7 and another for 9 people. The rafts are easy to steer and row. Correct technique is taught at the beginning of the trip. There is no fear of falling overboard and rafting through the rapids is as fun as jumping up and down on a water bed. Your guide is going to observe the trip from the river banks and will assist you if needed. If you wish, the guide can join you on the raft.Sights: mill dams, sandstone walls, river views, hidden caves, water animals and fowl; by the Puisa River, there are also the ruins of a castle.Size of the group: 6—25 people.Final price: based on agreement between you and the organizers.Additional info on Võhandu: MAP

Witch’s Country in the Old Valley of Lake Uhtjärv

If you would like to visit and spend the night in one of the smallest and most special countries in the world, you should head for the Witch's Country in the Old Valley of Lake Uhtjärv in Võru County, where you will get a chance to see the lands of the Witch's Country and learn about its history.You can taste a variety of meals in the Witch's Kitchen by ordering catering in advance.There are plenty of unique leisure activities to fill the entire day – make sure to try armchair football and broom throwing.We have cosy rooms, as well as rooms in unique witch's houses on chicken legs for those who would like to spend a more exciting night.It is also possible to use a caravan parking lot and a camping site upon reservation.

Dr. Fr. R. Kreutzwald Memorial Museum

The museum features the home of Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald (1803-1882), a physician and the founder of Estonian national literature, in Võru and gives a good overview of his activities. His living quarters reflect the interior design typical of the time; the garden house accommodates literary exposition. In the storehouse there is an exhibition of art inspired by Kreutzwald’s writings, reprints and translations of his works. The stable features different vehicles and the fairy-tale room several ethnographic objects. There are also a cellar, sauna, well, garden and an arbour in the museum complex. The activity room is designed for handicraft, drawing and constructing.

Siimusti Clay Industry

Siimusti Ceramics operates from the clay factory, which was founded in 1886 by Joosep Tiimann, a man born from a family of farmers. The location was suitable due to the clay deposits present here. At first the brick manufactury was created; afterwards they started producing oven pots and dishware.Nowadays you can get acquainted with the manufacturing process of ceramics: The pouring of clay into the mold and the firing and glazing processes. The end product can be bought onsite.

Tehvandi Disc Golf Park

Tehvandi Disc Golf Park is located in Otepää, on the hilly grounds of the Tehvandi Sports Center. It consists of a driving range and 18 baskets of different lengths. The disc golf park's winter, half-length 9-basket course starts and ends at the Tehvandi Hotel and runs around the historic Otepää Hill Fort. Discs can be rented from the Tehvandi Hotel front desk, which also has a map of the course that you can take with you. Fresh air and nature await — disc golf is a good way to spend time with family and friends. Come and see for yourself!

Boat trips on Lake Peipsi take you to Estonia's largest lake aboard the historic cruise ship Arabella I. Built in 1922 and recently fully renovated, Arabella I is the oldest ship in use in Estonia. Kuremaa beach

The northern shore of Lake Kuremaa is home to the only beach in Jõgeva County manned by lifeguards. Here you will find a 250-metre stretch of golden sand, aquabikes and boat hire, a beachfront cafe, a playground, areas for ball games, a caravan park and more. You can also camp here. The swimming area is marked by buoys. The water temperature is measured constantly, with information provided on special stands.

Torma Glamping

Torma Glamping's houses are very luxurious, very comfortable tents located in the former Torma Manor complex in Jõgeva County.The Glamping welcomes everyone who appreciates being close to nature but also enjoys comfort. The tent has a wide bed, a table, chairs, a fireplace for warmth, and for the people who afraid of the cold we have blankets. You can prepare your own food in the tent or order it from us. Outside there is a barbecue, a table, benches and a courtyard for strolling. For a cosy evening there are also candles in the tents and wine can be ordered in advance.

Blind embossing at TYPA Printing and Paper Art Center

Come and discover the magic of blind embossing! Create your own embossed artwork in a unique printmaking workshop. Cut an image into a linoleum sheet and see how the play of shadow and light remains on the paper. Blind embossing is a printing technique where a linoleum block is printed without color, leaving only a relief mark on the paper. In the workshop, each participant will make a linoleum block (10x15 cm) according to their own design.
