Discs can be borrowed free of charge from Alatskivi Castle's reception desk during the castle's opening hours, provided an identity document is presented. The bird observation tower on the Linnutee hiking trail is located in Kärevere Nature Reserve, which is one of the most visited places among bird enthusiasts. There are over 200 bird species here!The six-meter observation tower is perfect for admiring birds, their migration, and nesting, as well as the spring floods, and the diverse rivers, meadows, and forests. The purpose of this area is to protect rare species of birds, animals, and plants, as well as their habitats, forest and meadow communities, and inland water bodies. The local protected species include the black stork, the lesser spotted eagle, the white-tailed eagle, several bat species, the asp, the European bullhead, and others.

Lake Vaskna is 244 meters above sea level, which is why it can also be called a 'mountain lake'. According to legend, the gold of the Swedes from the times of the Northern War has been buried in Vaskna. It is said that a marked stone indicates the location of the gold.There is a campfire site next to the lake, offering a wonderful view of the local dome landscape. There is also a camping site and a swimming spot. Up to ten four-person tents can be put up at the camping site. There are benches, a table, a shelter, a cabin for changing clothes, and a barbeque spot.

The Miikse St. John the Baptist Church is a small wooden Orthodox church located in the southeastern corner of Estonia in Setomaa. What makes this church special is its story. It was built in 1953, during the Soviet era, when religion and church construction were not encouraged. However, the local people took a bold step and built the church themselves, often working in the evenings and at night to avoid the authorities' attention. Today, Miikse Church is once again a symbol of the strength and perseverance of the Seto community, where the local community restored the dilapidated sanctuary into a new and striking Seto church. The altar and icons were preserved, but the new facade features a lace-like pattern using Seto colors (red, blue, and sheep's wool white) and Seto belt patterns. The church's surroundings also include an old cemetery and sacred stones, which lend the place a special historical and spiritual atmosphere. The church is open once a month during service, and at other times, access can be arranged by agreement with the church elder (who communicates in Estonian and Russian). Humala Kalabaas is a unique, family- and child-friendly private fishing spot offered by a home business. Only one group can visit at a time - you and River Emajõgi on your own. A floating campsite with sleeping accommodation for 4 people and a heated room is anchored on the river bank, and you can comfortably fish on the terrace. On the shore there is a log shelter with a sleeping area, a grill, a smoker and a fire pit. Boat parking in the harbor for those arriving by boat. We will show you where to catch zander, eel, and bream and give you fishing tips. If necessary, you can come with empty hands - the equipment is available on site.
