At Mooska farm, pork is smoked in a traditional way in a smoke sauna.The meat is salted for seven days and smoked in the gentle alder smoke of the smoke sauna for about 40 hours. The result is mouth-watering, brown-surfaced, aromatic smoked meat that can become addictive. We have warned you! Also try talvõvõid – a bread spread made from smoked bacon and garlic.

Tähtvere Sport Park

Tähtvere Sport Park, located in Tartu's Supilinn area, offers activities for everyone and is ideal for an active day. The sports park has several trail options: an 850-meter asphalt roller track for rollerblading and roller skiing in summer, an 850-meter woodchip running track, and a 1.2 km sprint track. In winter, both the roller track and the sprint track are covered with artificial snow and maintained with a trail tractor, allowing skiing in both classic and freestyle techniques even when natural snow is scarce. One of the most important and internationally known parts of Tähtvere Sport Park is the Tartu Bike Park, which features four key facilities: a skatepark, a pump track, a BMX cross track, and a bike park. Ruins of Kirumpää Castle

The first written record about Kirumpää Castle is from 1322, when Gediminas, Grand Duke of Lithuania, destroyed it. The castle was built by the once important Tartu-Pihkva trade and war route, to protect the eastern border of the Tartu Bishopric. The castle has been attacked, destroyed and rebuilt many times and it was finally destroyed in the Russo-Swedish war in 1656.Useful information: Kirumpää Castle was surrounded by a large settlement of merchants and craftsmen. The layouts of the castle and the surrounding area are preserved in the Swedish National Archives. Stones from the castle's ruins were used to build Võru, which was established in 1784.
