Lake Kavadi hiking trail

There is a lovely recreation area on Aruküla hill in Kaarepere which is perfect for families, friends, and larger groups.There is a playground with swings and a slide, especially loved by younger children.You can rest under the shelter or on benches or your own picnic blanket. Barbecue facilities are also available on site.Visitors can also play disc golf (there is a rental point).The Struve Geodetic Arc is also located in the recreation area.The view of Vooremaa from the hill is magnificent and there is plenty of room for camping.

The hiking trail runs along a gravel road in a forest and introduces the life of ants. There are information boards next to the gravel road, as well as signposts near the ant colonies. The trail can also be explored in a vehicle. The 3.6 km trail starts at the information board at the roadside.The hiking trail is located in Padakõrve Nature Reserve. Its most important values include one of the largest populations of Scottish wood ants, diverse forest communities, and a multifaceted landscape. The purpose of the protected area is to protect the Scottish wood ants, as well as other protected species and their habitats, the forest communities, and the Kärgandi kame field.

Just 20 m from Lake Peipus, there is a cosy place for organising smaller and larger events. Here, Lake Peipus has a sandy bottom and is therefore suitable for swimmers and surfers. Active holiday lovers can enjoy a volleyball court or rent bicycles.The camp site next to the lake is perfect for camping and parking your caravan. We offer accommodation in the main house and small family houses. It is possible to fish in Lake Peipus in the summer as well as in the winter. During the winter period, we offer safe transport to the lake on snowmobiles if you order in advance.

PÄEVATALU CABINS are situated in a beautiful location on the shore of Lake Peipsi. It is one of the places on the shore of Lake Peipsi, where one can recharge their batteries.We offer: cabins, a barbecue house, a sauna. We also have football, basketball and volleyball fields. In addition, you can rent a rowing boat or a speedboat (only with a driver).

The hiking trail starts from the parking area near the Kütiorg Holiday Centre. The trail is diverse, with fairly steep and challenging terrain, so it's recommended to allow four to five hours to complete it. Along the trail, hikers get the best view of Estonia’s largest and most powerful ancient valley – Kütiorg – and can explore old mill sites and other cultural heritage landmarks. In the forested slopes of Kütiorg, there are spruce stands over a hundred years old, as well as exceptionally thick and tall aspen trees. Near the starting point of the trail, there is a campfire site equipped with a grill grate. Good to know: Part of the trail passes through private property, where dogs may roam freely.

Metsjärve camping houses are located in Põlva County, Puskaru village, in a beautiful pine forest and by a beautiful lake. The historic Postal Road and the Road Museum are in our immediate vicinity.The camping houses are heated and offer year-round accommodation. Our cosy camping houses accommodate four people, but there is room for up to three extra beds. Each camping house has a private barbecue area and some also have a mini kitchen.In summer, for a fee, you can ride a wakeboard or tube at Wakepark. The study trail is well-suited for getting acquainted with the development and vegetation of bogs and for observing pine cultures. A 1.8 km long circular study trail revolves around the Valgesoo bog. On the she study trail you can explore the bog vegetation, old pine plantation ("Baron's pine forest"), and a forest edge rich of Scottish wood ants. The whole trail is accessible by a wheelchair or stroller. To facilitate movement on the track, there is a track map and colour markings on the trees. There is an observation tower and a campfire site at the start of the study trail.Valgesoo bog is one of the 21 places worth discovering in Southern Estonia, which is suggested to be visited for those who are interested in nature.

Kiidjärve Nature Centre is located in Kiidjärve-Kooraste recreation area on the banks of the picturesque Ahja River in Kiidjärve village. It seeks to guide visitors, young and old alike, to the beautiful scenery of the area so that the forest and nature itself will reveal their secrets to a keen observer. The nature centre has information materials and information about Kiidjärve-Kooraste, other RMK recreation areas, and other various attractions. In the immediate vicinity are famous celestial Taevaskoda sandstone outcrops, Kiidjärve Formica kingdom, and the picturesque Valgesoo bog.
