In July 2019, the exciting permanent exhibition called 'Controlling machines' (Masinate valitsemine) was opened in the new Machinery Hall of the Road Museum. The idea behind the exhibition is the contradictory power relationship between cars and their drivers. The exposition consists of three sub-expositions: car culture, traffic education, and road machine display. Lahe Resto is located in the Värska Spa and Wellness Center’s sanatorium building. Meals are served three times a day buffet style for hotel guests and the general public. The chefs focus on healthy dishes made with local ingredients whenever possible. Every Thursday at lunchtime, we offer one Seto national dish – either soup, a main course, or dessert. We will observe beavers on the Emajõgi River. The canoe trip is for small groups and includes an experienced guide who instructs on both the canoeing and beaver-watching.There are a lot of brave beavers on the Emajõgi River. If you act correctly, you can see them from very close up.The trip does not require any special ability or canoeing experience, which means it is also suitable for beginners. We have stable wide-bottomed hiking canoes that are very safe. Besides, the Emajõgi River is a calm river with no waterfalls or other obstacles in the way.
Lake Tündre campfire site and nature reserve are located in Valga County, Sakala Recreation Area.The shore of the beautiful Tündre Lake is perfect for a longer holiday. There is a shelter with a roof, a dry toilet, an information board, a campfire site with a roof and a barbeque grill, a woodshed, and a swimming site. There are a lot of fish in the lake and it is a perfect place for a swim in the summer. To launch a boat, go to the adjacent Tündre campfire site. The forests around the lake are full of berries and mushrooms.
