Café-restaurant Andreas

Rõuge vald, Võru maakond, 66296

Ööbikuoru Villa’s café-restaurant Andreas offers an a la carte menu based on the food culture of Võru County, modern trends, and the changing seasons.
We place special emphasis on local food; a large part of the food we use comes directly from Võru County farms. We believe that delicious food can be found even in the most remote places in Estonia.
In the summer, it is possible to organize wedding parties for up to 74 people in an outdoor tent with a lake view or celebrate festive events in a room with a glass terrace that can accommodate 40 people.
Time at Andreas is time well spent!

Tobrova Village Chapel

The small wooden Tobrova tsässon on the right side of the Tobrova-Küllätüvä road looks like a small barn with a modest cross on the roof. This Orthodox chapel built in 1932 is dedicated to Easter – the most important holiday in Tobrova and nearby villages. Behind the Tobrova tsässon is the Luikjärve farm fort: a well-preserved Seto farm with a closed courtyard, which has been restored by the Obinitsa Museum.Contact the Obinitsa Museum for more information about the tsässon and the farm.

Ilumetsa meteorite craters

Meteorite craters are rare around the world. In Ilumetsa in Võru County, however, there is a group of craters formed from meteorite impacts which the locals call 'Hell’s Grave', 'Deep Grave', 'The Devil’s Grave', and 'Ghost’s Grave' (the latter three of which are overgrown and not marked). The biggest of the craters, which was formed around 6,600 years ago, is 'Hell’s Grave'; it is up to 80 metres in diameter at its widest point, and 12.5 metres deep. The floor of the crater is covered in a 2.5 metre layer of peat. Hikers can find their way to the crater along a well-maintained boardwalk, passing intriguing wooden sculptures as they go. There is a forest hut with information boards at the mid-point of the trail.

Alatskivi Park

Alatskivi Castle's park is the largest in Tartu County, covering approximately 130 hectares. The park, designed in the 19th century by Count Arved von Nolcken, surrounds Alatskivi Castle and is one of the best-preserved manor parks in Southern Estonia. From the towers and terrace of Alatskivi Castle, there is a view of the lake, bridge, church, and surrounding landscape. The park's hiking trail winds through a forest of lindens, maples, and oaks and is perfect for walking and enjoying the natural surroundings. Within the park is also the Alatskivi landscape protection area, which preserves the region's diverse flora and landscape. Here, you can see both old park groves and natural lakeside zones. For those looking for a more active holiday, there's a disc golf course. It is also worth visiting Alatskivi Castle, which houses an information center, the Eduard Tubin Museum, artists' studios, and the Alatskivi Castle restaurant. We welcome you to immerse yourself in the history and natural beauty of the park and landscape protection area.
