From Forest to Table

3.-19. November 2023

Wild flavour experiences await across Southern Estonia

Southern Estonia is a fascinating and multifaceted area, always offering new flavours inspired by its surroundings – both in a traditional way and with a modern spin.

The event all about Southern Estonian flavours called “From Forest to Table” is taking place for the fourth time in six counties: Tartu, Jõgeva, Põlva, Võru, Viljandi and Valga. The aim of “From Forest to Table” is to draw people to the participating restaurants, support local culinary culture, value local raw ingredients, and celebrate small producers of local food.

“From Forest to Table” lets you enjoy wonderful dishes from the special menus that the participating Southern Estonian restaurants have put together. The aim was to create meals that would use at least one ingredient from Estonian forests and be based predominantly on local raw ingredients. The price of a special menu varies between 25 and 30 euros.

Come and see the fascinating menus in nearly 60 restaurants and be a part of the festival of wild flavours!

The South Estonian flavors campaign is organized by: the city of Tartu, the South Estonian tourism cluster,
the Jõgeva County Cooperative and the Viljandimaa Development Center.
