A monument to those, who fell in the War of Independence, was opened in Misso on 26 May 1935, and the activities of the 1st cavalry regiment in the battles of the War of Independence were immortalised. The monument was demolished in 1945.The reconstructed monument was reopened on 27 August 1989. The granite pillar placed on a base of quarry-stones is 2.5 m tall. Its main side has the symbol of the cavalry unit along with the text “Here, the 1st cavalry regiment fought in the War of Independence on 19 April 1919”. In front of the monument, there are six granite plates with the names of those that fell.A monument to World War II is erected only a few steps from the Monument to the War of Independence.

The anatomical theatre, which served as a workplace for many famous doctors and scientists in the 19th century, was completed in 1805 on the southern slope of Toome Hill, Tartu, at the site of the former Swedish-era Carl Gustav bastion. It was originally designed by Johann Wilhelm Krause as a neoclassical rotunda. In 1825-1827, semicircular wing buildings were added to the building according to Krause's design. The anatomical theatre acquired its present shape after the last major extension was completed between 1856 and 1860.Medical Collections of the Medical Faculty of the University of Tartu are available at Science Centre AHHAA.

Kiidjärve Nature Centre is located in Kiidjärve-Kooraste recreation area on the banks of the picturesque Ahja River in Kiidjärve village. Linocut is one of the simplest classic graphic techniques where the printing form is cut out of linoleum by hand. In the workshop, each participant prepares a printing plate in linocut technique based on their own design. You can use the finished printing plate repeatedly and print greeting cards, notebook covers, and beautiful pictures. You can get all the materials from us, but we recommend thinking about your design or searching the Internet for inspiration beforehand. The image should have strong contrasts and clear lines, such as black and white, because linocutting cannot be used for smooth colour transitions.
