Kavilda Valley

The trails have two possible starting points: in the parking lot of the Värska Sanatoorium or in the point on the side of Värska Sanatoorium across Värska Bay. The Pikalombi nature trails are 3.8 and 9.1 km long. The nature trails can be passed in autumn, spring and winter and on foot as well as by bicycle. On the boarded trail through the Velna bog the bicycle shall be pushed by hand. Good to know: There are 11 trail points along the trail. Point no. 6 lies by beautiful Lake Saarepää, offering an opportunity to make a fire and to have a longer break.

Räpina beach is the perfect place for a holiday and for all kinds of water sports. The favourable winds have made it a popular destination among kite-surfers and windsurfers in spring and summer. There is a viewing tower on the beach that has excellent views over the polder, to Lake Lämmijärv and across the border into Russia. The beach is lit at night.

Tehvandi Holiday House is located in a beautiful natural setting around 400 metres from the main building of Tehvandi Sports Centre, close to Mustalätte Farm.The holiday house has two apartments with separate entrances. Each apartment has four bedrooms (three doubles/twins and one four-person room), a living room with kitchenette, a sauna complex, a bathroom and a WC.The apartments each have an airing cupboard, washing machine, fully-fitted kitchen, television and music centre, and the holiday house is covered by free WiFi. There is also a separate storage room and outdoor terraces.There is a car park by the holiday house as well as a pond with a bridge and an area in which to relax and enjoy your free time.

Gallery pART is located in the Põltsamaa Castle complex; it is an unheated extreme gallery built in a loft, and as we all know: ART is not afraid of the cold. There is a new exhibition of professional art in Gallery pART every month. Interesting information: the gallery consists of two parts; Gallery pART with contemporary lighting has a total surface are of 200 square metres. Gallery pART was established by the members of Art Society.

We rent out the entire house. You can grill or play volleyball in the courtyard. Swim in the pond and enjoy an electric sauna in the house or a “Finnish” sauna on the shore of the pond.

We organize fatbike hikes in Taevaskoda year-round. From spring to autumn, we ride along forest trails on the banks of the ancient valley of the Ahja River. In winter, we also stop by the ice of Lake Taevaskoda. The most famous places on the route are Suur- and Väike Taevaskoda, Neitsikoobas Cave, and the Kiidjärve water mill and manor park. The tour runs most of the time along beautiful forest trails in the varied landscape of South Estonia. The tour is suitable for anyone who is at least 150 cm tall. The pace is calm, and we take breaks to catch our breath and chat every 15-20 minutes. We talk about nature and local attractions. Taevaskoda has a rich history and cultural heritage; it contains sacred places and springs important to ancient Estonians. This area is known for its sandstone outcrops and magical forest trails. We use regular fatbikes and electric fatbikes (e-fatbikes) for riding. You can find clothing recommendations and information about the equipment you need for the tour on our website. Laossina's village chapel, is located in a medieval village cemetery that is still in use. It was most likely built in 1865. Several medieval crosses stand behind the tsässon. The Virgin Mary is the patron saint of the chapel, and on 21 September, the Nativity of Mary (Seto: väiko-maar´apäiv) is celebrated as a village holiday. People come to the cemetery from near and far, there is a church service, the best food and drink is served in the local graveyard, and then a proper village party, or kirmas, tales place.
