The monument to Friedrich Robert Faehlmann – a bronze bust on a pillar of local grey granite – was opened in front of the Old Anatomical Theatre at Toomemägi, Tartu, on 18 May 1930. Friedrich Robert Faehlmann (1798 - 1850) was one of the founders of Estonian national literature, a physician and a democrat. He studied in Rakvere District School, Tartu Upper Secondary School and the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Tartu. Faehlmann worked as a physician in Tartu from 1824. He worked in the Old Anatomical Theatre. He was a lector of the Estonian language in the university and sometimes also gave lectures in pharmacology and prescriptions.

The statue for those who perished in the War of Independence in Petseri county stands on the Statue of Liberty Square in Värska. The monument designed by sculptor Roman Haavamägi was supposed to be erected in the heart of the town of Petseri in the summer of 1940, but due to the Soviet occupation that started, the plan was abandoned. Only 80 years later, in 20 July 2020, the restored statue was opened here in Setomaa. The soldier figure was modelled and shaped in granite on the basis of photos by sculptor Tiiu Kirsipuu.The Statue of Liberty of Petseri was erected in remembrance of those nearly 350 Estonian soldiers who fell in the War of Independence in Petseri County, as well as the importance of the Tartu Peace Agreement for the Setos.

A museum unique in Estonia is located on the main street of Mustvee, founded by Heino Lubi who worked as a scales maker for more than 30 years. The collection includes over 120 various scales, about 50 steelyards, a great number of metal and ceramic weights and other things related to scales.In addition to scales made in Estonia, Heino Lubi's collection also features scales made in the Soviet Union and Poland. The museum also displays several contemporary scales which help to understand the history of scales.Guided tours must be pre-booked!

Tampere House is a culture and cooperation centre for the twin cities Tampere and Tartu, where exhibitions, literature evenings, and concerts often take place. Tampere House is located in the historical centre of Tartu, one of the oldest preserved wooden houses in Tartu (built in 1739).The Gallery of Tampere House presents Estonian and Finnish art. Exhibitions alternate every three weeks! Visiting the exhibition is free!

Kütiorg, located in the northern part of Haanja Nature Park, is the largest and most powerful valley in Estonia. The historical Hunters Hill Mill is located here.The mill was built in 1868 and it was last used in the autumn of 2016. It is planned to preserve the mill as industrial heritage of Estonia. The mill is near Noodasküla in Haanja Nature Park. You can walk to the mill if you take the longer trail on the RMK Kütiorg hiking trail. The earliest records of the Palupera Knight Manor date back to 1582. In the sixteenth and seventeenth century, the manor belonged to the von Dückers, Bronskies, and von Fersens. The manor remained the property of the von Bruiningks for a longer time, so their family cemetery is located near the heart of the manor. Several buildings have been preserved from the complex, which have been preserved under heritage protection.On 28 September 2019, the first Yellow Window of National Geographic in Elva rural municipality was opened at the Palupera Manor. Palupera’s yellow window is innovative in that it is the first window to have a special visitor counter installed to it.
