The carillon bells in the Town Hall tower are the oldest and largest in Estonia, delighting listeners with a variety of melodies throughout the year. The famous Leaning House, home to the Tartu Art Museum, is located in Town Hall Square. On Lake Peipsi, massive fog can sometimes rise in winter. The shore edge disappears with the fog and when it gets dark, the light beam of the lighthouse does not pass through it. It is said that years ago, locals rang church bells to help the fishermen find their way to the shore.The reinforced concrete beacon was built in 1938. A beacon is a lighthouse with a visibility of less than 10 nautical miles. The height of the beacon is 11 metres and the height of the light is 14 metres.In spring, the famous icebergs of Lake Peipus can be seen here. This is because of the stone bridge created by the hero of the Estonian national epic, Kalevipoeg.

Räpina Paper Factory (originally a paper mill) was completed in 1734, making it the oldest Estonian industrial company to still be in operation. It is also one of the most unique examples of industrial architecture in Europe. The first paper machine arrived in Räpina from Germany in 1873, which was when the mill became a factory. It produced a variety of paper for writing and printing. Three more machines were later introduced to the factory, one of which is still in use - if a little rejigged - today.As a company that cares about the environment, the factory aims to combine contemporary and environmentally friendly production technology with 300 years of production experience.
The Winter Church is located in a converted auxiliary building of the old church manor and is used mostly in the winter period. It is a small and cosy church that was built largely with the money donated from Finland. The church was consecrated on 6 December 1992 – the Independence Day of Finland. The consecrated name of the winter church is the Widow and Orphan Chapel. It is dedicated to widows because they were the ones who kept the church alive with their small salaries in the Soviet times. The blue, black and white flag of the Estonian Student Union, which later became the national flag and in 1991 the official flag of the state of Estonia, was consecrated in the rectory of the church next to it

The Estonian Aviation Museum near Tartu is an exciting destination for aviation enthusiasts and families! Here you can see rare planes and helicopters from various countries, including the USA, England, and France. The indoor and outdoor areas display anti-aircraft weapons and an aviation collection consisting of over 500 models, which provides a valuable overview of the history of aviation. The 23-storey high-rise building finished in 2008 on the right bank of the River Emajõgi in Tartu is called the Snail Tower. This is a unique apartment building in the centre of the city, designed by Vilen Künnapu and Ain Padrik. The Snail Tower is a symbolic building of Tartu – from the top, the rest of Tartu looks as small as the downtown looked to the clergyman of the church in the Middle Ages.
