It is also possible to go hiking on snowshoes in the snowy bog or to the forest with torches, etc.

Tartu County Recreational Sports Center Hostel is nestled in the pine forests of Elva, offering athletes, active families, and pets comfortable accommodation and a variety of additional services. The hostel can accommodate up to 38 guests in the courtyard house and offers modern amenities, including a kitchen and saunas. The center features conference rooms, barbecue areas, various sports facilities, including a gym, archery range, shooting range, and sports equipment rental, as well as pleasant forest and hiking trails for exercise. Emajõe City Beach is located on the left bank of the Emajõgi River in Tartu’s Ülejõe district and is a popular place among locals during the summer. There is a sandy beach for sunbathing. There are various attractions for children: swings, climbing equipment and a slide. During the summer months, the coast guard also works during the day.On the city side of the beach, you will find the Lodjakoda, which operates as centre for building historical ships and a theme park as well as a museum, where adults and children alike can see how barges are made. This is also the harbour where viking and barge trips start.

In the Local Heritage Cafe of Juulamõis, we offer workshops for groups who want to immerse themselves in the secrets of the plant world. Together, we make mustards and herbal salts, perform herbal tea rituals, and discover the power of nature.In the workshop, we will learn about edible plants depending on the seasons, discuss their beneficial effects on health, share tips and recipes, and set a snack table for the whole group. Estonian nature is rich in plants full of power: it is important to notice them, know how to use them with gratitude, eat them, and offer them to our friends!

Target practice with virtual and air guns takes place in the halls of the main building throughout the year.During the summer season, we use a 25 m shooting range with 24 lanes for pistols and service weapons; 50 m shooting ranges with 42 and 12 lanes are available for rifle practice. In the smaller range, we use the electronic Sius Ascor targets of the Estonian Shooting Sport Federation for practising for finals of important competitions, as well as for training our top shooters. In the 50 m Moving Target range, you can use a rifle to shoot at a moving target shaped like a wild boar or an elk. Enthusiasts can also try archery and clay target shooting.

This baroque-style one-storey house, which has an attic floor and a rectangular floor plan, catches your eye when you walk past St. John's Church in Tartu. It is one of the oldest surviving wooden houses in the city. It was constructed from logs in 1725 by Pastor J. Arens Arensite of Nõo upon his return from exile to Russia. It was renovated in 1987.

The emotional and powerful memorial (2016) was erected to honour the harsh fate of the people deported from Võru and Võru County from 1941 to 1952. The sculptor is Jaak Soans.The memorial depicts two rows of bronze animal wagons placed on a concrete block 1.6 metres high, with human figures visible between them. A ramp made of original railway sleepers and dolomite gravel, which is 4 metres wide and 16 metres long, takes to the memorial. The total length of the memorial complex is almost 24 meters.
