Visit to Murimäe Winery and Vineyard

Rehemäe, Otepää vald, Valga maakond, 67302

The secret to good wine lies in Murimäe — local ingredients, well-chosen grape varieties, a sunny slope near Otepää, and a northern climate — but what else?
Located in South Estonia, near Otepää, Murimäe Winery gladly welcomes visitors. Our hostess takes guests on a walk to an authentic vineyard, shows them the production rooms, and explains how high-quality Estonian handcrafted wine is made in the wine cellar. At the end of the tour, we offer Murimäe wines for tasting, and those interested can purchase wine to take home. The visit takes place both outdoors and indoors and lasts 1.5-2 hours. Available by pre-order, even daily. You can also come with a group just to taste our wines. We organize various training courses and adventurous team activities, and you can also stay overnight. In summer, a café operates in Murimäe, and several special events with exciting performers, good food, and, of course, Murimäe wines take place.
Come and discover Europe’s northernmost vineyard for yourself!

Luke Manor

Luke Manor invites you to discover the historical architecture of its former knight's manor and the enchanting park, where you can find the stylish dollhouse-like Kärnerimaja, which has an information point, an exhibition introducing the manor, and a café in the summer. The restored Governor's House adds historical depth to the manor complex. The water fountain and the pavilion's view of the ponds invite you to immerse yourself in the romance of the manor era. The manor's terraces, an alley of uniquely shaped trees, and the concrete lion statues on the stairs (a favorite with the youngest visitors) create a unique and majestic atmosphere. Kicksledge trips to the Uninhabited Island

The uninhabited Salosaar is one of the 30 islands of Lake Peipsi. There used to be a farm, a restaurant with a dance floor and a windmill on the island but these were destroyed in different wars. The defence line that the Germans built during WWII but never used has also collapsed. At the moment, the island does not have any inhabitants; the only 'vacationers' are cormorants. The nests of these apt fishermen can be seen everywhere in the trees.Length of the hike: 7 km and 2.5–3 hoursGroup size: minimum 10 peoplePrice: €20 per adult, €12 per childNB! As we will be hiking in the near vicinity of Russia, you need to bring an ID.
